Why is the Friends community to cruel to each other and the characters?
So many times I've seen people fighting over which character is better and which couple is better and I see so much hatred for their least favorite characters and are so oblivious that all 6 of the friends have flaws. Even their favorite characters. None of them are perfect. See, my favorite is Phoebe but I also know that she can be cruel and insensitive at times but don't forget, she had a hard life growing up. She lived on the streets. Being cruel and tough was how she survived. From what she's shared, she seems a lot better in the present time compared to how she was in the past. Ok so let's break things down.
Rachel-She's spoiled and selfish and hypocritical especially when it comes to Ross and whenever he dates anyone who isn't her but she has also grown since season 1 and made a life for herself and accomplished so much more than a lot of spoiled rich girls and boys have done in their lifetime.
Monica-She is neurotic and a neat freak and also overly controlling especially with Chandler but she's also very loving and nurturing and always willing to help her friends.
Phoebe-Sure she can be a bit of a bully at times and childishly naive but she's also really fun and silly and unique and has also been a sweet and helpful friend even if her techniques aren't always the best
Ross-He can be a bit of a kill joy and boring and like Rachel, very hypocritical when it comes to her dating someone who isn't him but he's also very loving and funny
Joey-He's naive and a bit of a womanizer but he's also sweet and funny and is always willing to help his friends
Chandler-He can be overly sarcastic to the point where it's kind of insensitive and showcases the unhealthy need to find love in order to be happy but he is also sweet and caring, always willing to help his friends.
My point is that all 6 of the characters have their ups and their downs. It's what makes them real and human. None of them are 100% perfect and none of them are 100% imperfect. It's just s
