(The graduating seniors are all coming to school 2 weeks before they graduate. For some odd reason, they happen to float down the halls, each giving a voiceover.)
Kurt (voiceover): Ah, senior year. It's coming to an end. It feels like just yesterday that I was thrown into a dumpster or being slushied by a football jock--who shall remain anonymous. I feel like people are looking up to me rather than making me feel worthless. Now I can behave like the best me I can.
Santana (voiceover): I really don't understand all of this at all. I'm literally the hottest piece of action at this school, and I can be as talented as Other Asian and Pippy Longstocking put together. So why am I going to the University of Louiseville? How come I'm not in New York or Los Angeles? I was born to be a star.
Mercedes (voiceover): I don't wanna do this dumb sh*t.
Mike (voiceover): I'm so glad I got into Chicago. I want to thank--
Finn (voiceover): Wow, to think I was clueless about what to do when this point in high school hit. I'm the star quarterback of the school, living with my gay brother/friend, and...well, about to marry a Broadway dwarf. Nice. (Over to the side). Furt's gonna be ruined.
Quinn (voiceover): Okay...where do I start...? Oh yeah. Well, this school year was especially rough for me. I had a baby sophomore year. I cheated on a couple of guys. I lost prom queen twice. I cut most of my hair off. I went through a skank phase and smoked for the first time. I got overly obsessive with getting Beth back. I wanted good, rough sex with Puck to get another baby. And after all of that and turning to God for prayer, I end up in a wheelchair. Ugh...damn, that's a lot.
Puck (voiceover): Kinda hard to believe people would be easy on me like this. I mean, I skipped class so many times--more than the amount of girls I made out with, in fact. Now I'm ready to pass this difficult test and get out of Lima for good.
Rachel (voiceover): I've been waiting for this moment since I first saw Barbra Streisand for the first time. There's a lot of joy--and pressure--when it comes to me moving to New York with Kurt and Finn, and leaving all of my friends behind. It's gonna be tough. But I have something to look up to now. I can go to the city of my dreams, accomplish my goal of being a Broadway singer, and live with my fiance for the rest of my life. I mean, how much happier can I be? I have it all now. I won prom queen unexpectedly, I'm with Finn--I basically lived my high school year perfectly--
Santana (voiceover, annoyed): Are you done yet?
Quinn (voiceover): You're taking up too much time.
Mike (voiceover): I didn't get a chance to finish--
Rachel (voiceover): Will all of you calm down and let me speak?! God...
(Cory Monteith gets out of character as Finn Hudson, and calls to Lea Michele on set.)
Cory (voiceover): Actually, Lea, Ian says it's time to wrap it up.
Lea (voiceover): What about Ryan?
Cory (voiceover): He's not here. Ian's taking over.
Lea (voiceover, sighs): That old "free country" phrase is never true.

(Kurt sits alone in a classroom, tapping his fingers on the desk and feeling nervous. Blaine walks in and sits next to him.)
Blaine: Why so glum?
Kurt: I'm really nervous. My NYADA letter didn't come yet. Rachel, Finn, and I agreed to open our letters together when we get them.
Blaine (nodding): Yeah...this is really tough.
Kurt: Easy for you to say. You're not the one waiting on the letter of a lifetime.
Blaine: But I am the one who's worried about being alone next year.
Kurt: Have you listened to me at all this time?
Blaine: Not really. I kinda had some ear problems. They're fixed now, but...I don't know what to think, really.
Kurt: I told you--15 times in person, 12 times in text, and 14 times in email--I'm never saying goodbye to you.
Blaine: You'll still remember me, right?
Kurt: Of course I will.
Blaine: So are we still on for that date after graduation?
Kurt: Oh...I was invited to an after party at Quinn's place, actually.
(Silence.)
Blaine (to the side): He ain't gonna remember me.
Kurt: What?

(Santana and her mother, Maribel Lopez invited Brittany to go to Breadstix and have a meal all together for the first time.)
Maribel (to Brittany): I knew someday this would come. When Santana was 3, she dressed up as Elmo from Sesame Street. I said, "Baby, you look so adorable"--
Santana (embarrassed): Mom.
Maribel: Sorry, Santana. I'm just happy you found someone, especially Brittany, to be in your life.
Santana: Thank you so much. But there's a problem, though. I don't want to go to Kentucky. I want to go to New York.
Maribel: Whatever you put your mind to, I'm okay with it. Just as long as you make it to college.
Santana: Thank you.
Maribel (to Brittany): And where are you applying?
Brittany: Purdue.
Maribel: The university? Oh, that's great.
Brittany: No, the chicken factory.
(Silence.)
Maribel: Um...sweetheart, that's not...
Brittany: I know. All of the other colleges won't take me because my grades are low.
Santana: Why are you just now telling me this?
Brittany: It's not all bad. At least I get to repeat senior year.
Santana (hesitant): Well...looks like I have to stay here then.
Maribel: Why?
Santana: My girlfriend needs me, mom. I can't let her fall like this. I need to help her.
Brittany: You'd do that for me?
Santana: Yes.
Brittany: But you're not flunking, though. So how are you going to apply back into McKinley?
(Silence.)
Santana: Looks like someone needs to fix you a little more.

(The next day at school, Finn arrives in Mr. Schue's office, getting ready to retrieve his yearbook. Will hands it to him so he can read the note he wrote.)
Finn (reading the note): "You're going to make it through, buddy. Never change." (Looks up at Mr. Schue.) Sure you can't add more feeling to it, maybe? I'm the main person in New Directions that acts like a father to me. You can do better, right?
Mr. Schue (silent for a second): Rachel did something to you.
Finn (sighs): Yeah, I know.
(Finn takes a seat in a chair, and Mr. Schue remembers something from the past.)
Mr. Schue: Actually, I need to tell you something, Finn. Do you remember when we needed new Glee club members? You were singing in the shower in the boys' locker room. You sounded amazing. So...I put the pot in your locker just so you could join us.
(Silence. Finn looks surprised.)
Finn: Dude...that was awesome.
(They both share a laugh.)
Finn: Why didn't we think of this when Lauren left?
Mr. Schue: Not too much, alright.
Finn: Just joking.

(Quinn is at her locker, looking at all of the pictures of her friends. Then she hears Puck in a classroom, struggling to study for his make-up test. Quinn picks up the red box with her Cheerios uniform, and joins Puck to help him.)
Quinn: Do you need help?
Puck: Why bother? I'm just gonna fail again.
Quinn: No, you're not.
Puck: How do you know? Have you seen my GPA? It's probably like a 2.9 or something--
Quinn: It's my last year here. I want to give back. So I'm here to help you study.
Puck: Alright then.
(Silence.)
Puck: So...you wanna kiss me?
Quinn (confused): No. Why would I do that?
(Mark Salling gets out of character and whispers to Dianna Agron.)
Mark (whispering): Ryan said you have to do it.
Dianna (whispering): Mark, I'm not gonna put Quinn on that bipolar sh*t when it comes to her and relationships. You know how I feel about that.
(A few minutes later, they take a break from filming the scene. Mark comes back with a glass of water for Dianna to drink. Then they start to film again.)
Puck: So...how am I gonna ace this thing? I'm not like you or boy Chang. Having the smarts is not my strong suit--
Quinn: Kiss me.
Puck: Why?
Quinn: To get your confidence back. You're going to make it out of here. Besides, I want to have at least one last moment with you. We went through a lot of struggles when Beth was born. We can have at least one good moment, right?
(They both smile at each other, and they share a kiss. Dianna is thinking up some unusual stuff when this occurs.)
Dianna's Thoughts: What the hell? Before I didn't want Quinn to kiss him. Why am I doing this? And why do I seem to like it?

(All of the Glee club members are waiting outside of a classroom, getting the results on Puck's test. They all seem nervous.)
Artie (whispering to Blaine and Rory): Twenty bucks says that he doesn't pass.
Rory (whispering): Twenty-five says he does.
Blaine (whispering): I'll put in fifteen if he does pass.
Rory (whispering): You're gonna lose, lad.
Artie (whispering): Over my great grandfather's dead body.
(The teacher comes out of the room with Puck's test. He takes it and looks at the top of the paper.)
Puck (to everyone): I got a C-. I passed!
(Everyone except Artie was cheering, high-fiving Puck, and giving him hugs. Blaine and Rory step over to Artie, both holding their hands out at him.)
Blaine (holding his hand out): You snooze, you lose.
Artie: Shut the f*ck up.

(Finn, Rachel, and Kurt are all in the choir room alone with their acceptance letters. They are all nervous.)
Finn: I'll go first.
(He opens his letter for the Actor's Studio. He has a disappointed look on his face.)
Finn: I didn't get in.
(Silence. Everyone is upset.)
Kurt: I'll go next.
(Kurt opens his letter for NYADA. He, too, is also disappointed.)
Kurt: I didn't get in.
(Finn rubs his brother's shoulder in remorse. Rachel looks down at her letter.)
Rachel: I'm next then.
(She opens her letter. She looks surprised.)
Rachel: I got in.
(Silence. Finn and Kurt are both shocked and pissed.)
Finn and Kurt (together, mad): Oh f*ck this!

(Santana is at her locker, cleaning out everything she has. Her mother shows up.)
Maribel: We're going to be late to Quinn's after party. Then we were going to meet with your dad--
Santana: I'm just clearing everything out. I mean...what's the point in keeping these things when I'm going to be staying here?
(Maribel nods and takes out a red envelope, handing it to her daughter. Santana opens it and sees money inside.)
Santana: Mom, you could've bought a Lexus with this money! Why didn't you--
Maribel: Well, I laid off the cigarettes and got a raise at my job. So I saved all of that money just for you. Go to New York. Go to college. Do whatever you wish, Santana.
Santana: Even buy new shoes?
Maribel (smiling and laughing, hugging Santana): Of course.

(Finn and Rachel arrive at a train station the next day. Rachel is surprised when she sees the train.)
Rachel: Why the hell are we here?
Finn: Your dads are waiting on you in New York.
(Silence.)
Rachel: I thought we were getting married--
Finn: I don't wan to marry you. Besides, I'm going to Georgia for the army.
Rachel (crying and shocked): What the hell, Finn?!
Finn: We need to move on, Rachel. I need to change my father's status, and you need to get into that school.
Rachel (crying): But I need you...
Finn: You'll see me again. Trust me.
Rachel (crying): I won't leave without you.
Finn: You've wanted this for years. You can't just give all this up for me. Just move on.
Rachel (crying): I can't move on without you!
Finn (frustrated): Well, I guess there's only one way.

(Mercedes, Tina, and Quinn drag Rachel on the train. Finn and Sam throw her luggage on the train as well. Everyone from New Directions is waving goodbye. Finn points at Rachel on the train and cackles very loud.)
Finn: Free at last! Free at last! Thank God Almighty, free at last!
Rachel (on the train, crying): Nooooo!!!!!!
(A few people around her are getting irritated.)
Train passengers: Shut up!
Rachel (sad, sniffling): Oh...sorry.
(By the time Rachel makes it in New York, she looks at her surroundings. She smiles.)
Rachel: I'm finally free. I'm finally at home.

Well, guys, that's Chapter 40. How did you like it?
Here's the link for Chapter Thirty-Nine!!!
Here's the link for Chapter Fourty-One!!!
“I thought the Madonna episode of Glee was brilliant on every level. The dialogue and the entire script was genius. I completely appreciated the layers of irony, especially when all those macho boys sang ‘What It Feels Like For A Girl.’
I also loved the fantastic performances of ‘Vogue,’ ‘Express Yourself’ and all the messages about the boys being respectful to girls.
The entire cast was amazing. They’re all so talented. I especially loved Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch) and Kurt Hummel’s (Chris Colfer) characters. [Show creator] Ryan Murphy did a great job bringing all these elements together.
[Daughter] Lola loved the show too. I wish I went to a high school like that…If only.”
