It's been said recently that one more Glee couple is going to be joining Finn and Rachel in the break up category. Mike and Tina? Brittany and Artie? Actually, none of the above.
Sam and Quinn are doomed. Brad Falchuck has said that he is bored with the Ken/Barbie relationship. WHAT? How can he be bored with something that has just begun? Sam and Quinn got together in episode 2 of this season (Duets) and that's pretty much all we've seen of them. Until the sectionals performance, they were rarely even seen on camera together. How can he be bored with them???
In my opinion, Sam and Quinn are one of the greatest tv couples ever. They fit together so perfectly. They seem like your stereotypical popular blond couple, but they are so much more than that. They complete each other in more ways than just complementing each other's looks.
Quinn had given up hope on starting another relationship after all of the drama in season 1 with Finn and Puck. Even in the episode "Duets" she voiced to Sam how having a relationship is not what she needed. She tried her hardest to fight her feelings for him, but she couldn't.
Later on, she realized that he was what she needed. He makes her happy. He takes care of her. They fell in love and their love blossomed. It has only begun to grow into something beautiful, something that no other couple on the show could reach.
I don't know how the writers plan on breaking them up. Something drastic is going to have to happen to tear them apart. Sam would do anything for Quinn. It's so easy to see that. All the time he is telling her how beautiful she is, how perfect she is to him. He tells the whole world that he's in love with this girl. They can't just tear them apart because they're "bored".
I really wish they would have given this couple more time. There is so much that could still happen between them; breaking them up would be breaking a bond that no one else has. They haven't given them enough time to develop as characters in this relationship. There are definitely not enough Sam/Quinn story lines on the show. Personally, I am interested in what is going on between them because I think it could be beautiful.
So the break up is inevitable for now. Big deal. They can't keep them apart forever. Somehow they will end up back together. They have to. The fans have fallen in love with them. They can't deny us of their relationship when it's the only functional one on the show.
