“The Upper East Side was like something from Fitzgerald or Thackeray. Teenagers acting like adults. Adults acting like teenagers, guarding secrets, writing gossip all with the trappings of truly opulent wealth. And membership in this community was so elite, you couldn’t even buy your way in. It was a birth right. A birth right I didn’t have, and my greatest achievements would never earn me.
All I had to compare to this world was what I read in books, but that gave me the idea. I wasn’t born into this world – maybe I could write myself into it. I overheard enough conversations to be...

The whole concept of placing these two together has irked me since the idea was introduced. Call it the Joey and Rachel (Friends) or George and Izzie (Grey's Anatomy) effect. Just like Blair said in the Hurt Locket, some couples only look good on paper. These are my 5 reasons why I don't think this couple is going to work. Please note, this is JUST MY OPINION.

5) Lack of story development
Yes, we all know about the fateful night at the wedding. The event that started the series. We all know about Nate's love for her, and Serena's wish to keep her friendship with Blair. The Serena/Blair/Nate...

01. GAMES

I mean, obviously. Chuck/Blair has been a near-constant battle. Games were part of the foundation of their relationship ("You and I bonded over a mutual love of scheming"), games were part of their undoing. Season 2 is inundated with dialogue about games and stakes, winning and losing. Games + Chuck and Blair's king and queen pretensions = every chess and war cliche reference in the history of ever.

Also obviously, games aren't the point. S2's sabotage, schemes, wagers, and ~seductions are just a way for Chuck and Blair to channel their feelings for each other into a safer type of...

It had been a few days now and the team had spent their time educating themselves about their current lives and the world they now lived in. Particularly Nate and Chuck who needed to learn so much about politics and Bass Industries respectively. Lucky for them it would be expected of them not to know too much anyway as Nate was still studying and Chuck was practically new to the company.

Serena was a natural, once she had found her P.A everything had just fallen into place for her. She had just been offered a new photo shoot and was looking forward to getting...

Temptation of the Best Kind- Chapter Five

He knew that he was never going to be able to get though the whole weekend with Blair and everybody else. He almost wanted to back out and not go just to see what her reaction would be. It was sure to get a rise out of her. But Chuck knew that he couldn’t do that, he had to try and save face in front of her.
He was also curious to see if she was had actually been serious when she had said that she didn’t want him anymore. He might have pushed her too far that day on the camping trip and irrevocably broke what they might have had. Now that Blair had...

Friendly Encounters- Chapter Eleven

This chapter is rated VM for VERY MATURE.

Her mind screamed, YES! Was he finally going to give into her and spare them both the agony of waiting. “Sex? Are you serious?”
Chuck moved closer to her. “Yes, I have never been more fucking serious in my entire life. Do you still want me?” He breathed into her ear.
His hot breath fanned her ear, and she felt the need to sit down on her bed before her legs gave out and she went crashing onto the floor. “Chuck, I need to know now if we’re really going to go through with it this time. You’re not going to...

A/N: Hello everyone, this is a fanfic I and Waldorf wrote. It's like a Gossip Girl spinoff and takes place after 2x13, but the ending is rewritten. Chuck never showed up in Blair's bedroom and left after she said ILY. After he left, Gossip Girl also left and was replaced by someone who calls himself Gossip Lord. It's mostly humor, but also pretty serious. There are also some weird pairings in the story, so don't freak out.

"Gossip Lord - Episode 1"

"Miss Blair!"
Blair opened her eyes and slowly sat up in her bed. She heard a knock on the door and Dorota entered the room, slightly annoyed.
"Time for...

Chapter 5

She was bulimic.

The door of the bathroom that held testament to that fact slammed behind Chuck as he left.

Blair.

For some reason, he couldn’t think. Wouldn’t think, wouldn’t let the message enter his mind.

He just had to tell Serena, tell Nate; her best friend, her boyfriend.

They could deal with it. He wasn’t anything to her.

“Chuck!”

He felt something pull on his sleeve before he managed to get to her bedroom door, the one that lead to the hallway which would take him down to the two clueless blonds.

“What?!” He barked, turning round to face Blair sharply.

She blinked at...

You know, that Asian-looking girl who sometimes hangs out with Blair... but is she really Asian?
Well, her name is 'Kati' and it might sound a bit Japanese, but actually it's a Hungarian name.(Hungary is a small Eastern European country)
Her surname is 'Farkas'(source: imdb), which is also a Hungarian word. It means 'wolf'.
So the question is: why does an Asian actress (Nan Zhang) play a Hungarian character? Probably the creators thought 'Kati' must be a Japanese name LoL
But I'm really glad that I've found something Hungarian on Gossip Girl cause I'm from Hungary, too...:)

Christopher Chace Crawford (born July 18, 1985) is an American actor best known for his role as Nate Archibald in Gossip Girl.

Chace Crawford grew up in Texas. He has one sibling, a younger sister, Candice Crawford, who is Miss Missouri USA 2008. Crawford played football and golf in high school. She was fourteen.

After two days of student life in the High School building of Constance Billiard, she was finally getting it.

Nobody wore perfect uniform in the High School, thinking that a bright coat and a light bracelet was pushing it.

The skirts were shorter, and not all plaid. The shirts and blouses were in a variety- some ruffled, some trimmed, some patterned; some chiffon, some cotton. The shoes were the Manolo Blahnik’s and Jimmy...

Blair: Damn that Motherchucker!

Blair: Chuck! Aren't you done trying to destroy my night?
Chuck: Look I should never have abandoned you. I know I made the wrong decision as soon as your plane took off. Distracted myself all summer...hoping I wouldn't feel it, but I still do.
Blair: And?
Chuck: I was scared...I was scared that if we spent the whole summer together, just us, then you'd see.

I X Serena
I X Serena
I have be an avid fan of Gossip Girl from its pilot episode where I clearly remember when Serena van der Woodsen stepped into the airport in tune with the “She’s Back” slogan. But lately, Gossip Girl and Serena are getting on my nerves. Why do I have such a beef with Serena’s character?

First of all, I have a serious problem with someone who does not learn from previous mistakes, but habitually makes decisions that are based on lies and cover-ups. Serena is a serial liar. She lies to everyone about everything. Serena has lied to Nate, Blair, Dan, and her countless other boyfriends and...

“How did it all happen?” She whispered sullenly, almost breathlessly. Her vision was distorted, blurry from her tears. They were also bloodshot and her face had paled as well, sometime during her breakdown.

From the other side of the desk, the woman sat there with her head cocked to the side, portraying a face of deep concern. “Ms. Waldorf I take it that this wasn’t planned.”

Blair Waldorf kept her eyes glued to the floor. She used whatever physical strength was in her to put her arms on the armrests and lift her body into a straighter, more comfortable position. Instead she failed...

Her words kept echoing in his head like a broken record "It's too late, Chuck. I stood by you through all of this but I can't watch you self-destruct any longer." He understands though. He actually thought it was funny because he knew that she would come back to him. She always did. But a little voice in the back of his head kept saying "This time it was different."...

The season has already begun and Georgina took her spin in this episode with a few battles and missed swings, but did she live up to all the hype?

This week was all about everyone finding their niche in college and overall life. 'The Freshman' showed the tug of war between Georgina and Blair which didn't really portray the angst I anticipated. Their shenanigans were a minor representation of the tension they created in the past. Now Blair's in love and Georgina has lost her touch a bit.

At least we now know why Blair preferred to live in a dorm as opposed to bunking with Chuck; it actually gave...
