When I saw this I actually laughed.

I would not want to be involved in a tournament for eternal glory which would risk my life. I don't want eternal glory, thank you very much.

I would do quiditch, but the tournament is pointless.

After going through hell all you get is money, bragging rights, and "eternal glory." Quiditch gives you a cup, bragging rights and it's fun.
