HSM1 kinda reminds me of "Singin' in the Rain". Both of them share a lead character who doesn't do the singing on their own, so someone else has to do it for them. In this case, it was Drew Seeley who did all the singing for Zac Efron in this first HSM movie. Maybe Disney should release some HSM1 special edition where you could pick between the two options. When I first saw the HSM1, I heard it all wrong. To me, it was Champagne, not Sharpay. You know, being a drama queen and all that, all bubbling inside, ready to burst any time now, just like a bottle of champagne. When I get to the end credits, I was surprised I got it wrong. Zac Efron got dubbed by another guy in HSM1 who did all the singing. I was so surprised when I found out about it. Zac's voice was going through a typical male teenager's changing phase, so it wasn't good enough for Disney back then. Zac did all the singing parts all by himself in sequels, in HSM2 and HSM3. Sorry to say this but the 1st HSM movie was awful. Here’s why:

#1 Zac Efron didn’t sing AT ALL in this movie it was Drew Seeley who sang for Zac.

#2 The songs were annoying
