Horror Movies Question

Do you guys think that watching a scary movie BY YOURSELF when it's COMPLETELY DARK with NO LIGHT whatsoever has any kind of effect on you rather than being with people?

i believe it can cause when i watch a film like Halloween(1978) in those type of atmosphere I'll have nightmares i haven't had in a while occupationally or I'll jump at scenes i don't normally in say with people with a light on to tell the truth i prefer watching a movie without people i know anyways.
which the atmosphere doesn't matter entirely for me cause i can get into almost any movie and it be like I'm their it can be bad for depressing movies but its one of the best things about movies for me but that's just me

No not at all. It's more fun with friends, but I can watch them alone, with the lights off, by myself just fine.

Yeah it has a little bit of an effect. When I watch things with other people, it can be a little awkward or they might talk and it takes away from the movie a little. I like watching my favorite genre by myself :)

Well, it actually depends on what the scary movie is about. Like if it's Chucky, Halloween or some movie like that, I can watch it alone with no light. But if it's the like the movies, The Exorcist or Nightmare on Elm Street. I'd rather have a person with me. Don't care about the light.

Yeah, if I watch it with my family it gets a little uncomfortable when I watch horror films with them. But if I watch it with friends or alone it won't make an effect on me.

Yes, and No. First off it depends on what kind of person you are, second yes i do think it can, however i know people find it much more in depth when people are around them.. what i mean by this is that they feel the movie is more real, depending of course on which movie u r watching.
