May, Misty, and Dawn in their new outfits.
(Dawn's POV)
I have had Paul visiting me so often, but I have no idea what his house looks like or how big it is. I have Paul's email now so I sent him a message asking for his address and phone number so I could get to his house and call him once I get there. He sent me what I requested and told me that today was the best day. So, Today I see Paul's house.
Just as I left the house and pulled my new house keys out of my bag I hear quick footsteps on the sidewalk leading up to my house and there's my best friends, Misty and May. They we're carrying bags. May had two bags, which she was waving in the air, and Misty only had one.
"Dawn! You're wearing your usual outfit on your first visit to your boyfriend's house?" May asked loudly as she darted up the small blue wooden stairway. May stopped right in front of me and hugged me. She let go quickly and picked up my keys that I dropped during the hug. "I hope not!" She told me as she handed me one of the bags she was carrying. They both guided me back inside.
"I'm going to miss the train!" I shouted, unsure that they even heard me. Misty pulled everything out of the bag and handed them to me as May told me what they got for me.
"We got you a blue and white star print shirt and blue plaid skirt, along with black capri leggings, new brown shoes and black low cut buttoned vest." May said quickly. "Now, quickly go change so you don't miss the train." She said, guiding me up the stairs. I heard Misty shuffling through her bag.
I finish changing and walked downstairs to see Misty wearing a green and white stripe long sleeve shirt, jeans and brown boots. May was wearing a Brown and pink tee with a orange and yellow skirt and black mary janes.
May started posing to show her new outfit and Misty was on the couch sort of sitting on her feet. All of a sudden May noticed the clock and covered her mouth lightly and gasped. "You have 19 minutes before the train gets to Jubilife City and it takes 16 minutes to get there! Hurry!" She shouted, rushing be out the door.
Misty grabbed my bag and locked the door behind us, handing me the bag and key once we were on our bikes. we starting riding really fast untill we reached Sandgem town, where I almost colided with Professor Rowan. "Sorry!" I shouted as I passed him.
I was quiet after that and my friends didn't say anything until we left Sandgem town. That's when Misty questioned me about something I was worried about. "What was with the spare clothes in your bag?" She asked. My eyes widened instantly. "Errrr... Just in case..." I replied. Misty giggled. "In case of what?" She teased. I flinched when I heard that. Misty! Keep your nose out of my business! "In case Piplup soaks me when using water gun or I'm near water and I fall in. It also comes in handy when I slip in mud," I told her. Coming up with excuses has never been easier.
"Really..." Misty asked. Oh boy, here it comes! "You don't like the outfit we got you, do you?" Misty asked. Okay, that's not what I thought she would say, and it's nonsense. "No! I love this outfit!" I told them truthfully, as it is the truth. I hope they believe me! It's the truth!
..................After we arive in Jubilife city...................
"There's the new train station. Let's get you on that train!" May announced after complete silence from my disagreement with Misty. "We have two minutes, let's hurry," I tell them. We park our bike at the outside bike rack and lock them up securely. We walk into the small building that's upper level has a bridge connecting to the platform where the trains pass by.
We are just going down the escalator when I see the train in distance. "Hurry!" I shout. We start running and burst through the doors to the platform. I say goodbye to my friends and go to wait for the train as they walk back inside. I get on the train and I am off to see Paul.
(Paul's POV)
I am getting ready to pick Dawn up at the train station. I know it isn't going to arive for another hour but I am making sure I am there before she is. I walk down the stairs to see my brother leaving. Great! He forgot to make sure this house was as clean as possible! I sigh slowly and shake my head. "I told him Dawn was coming over in an hour and I wanted this place to look nice!" I said angrily.
Just then he walks back inside. "I know, that's why I am..." He starts before I interupt. "Inside!" I tell him. "Yes, I know, I am just giving the pokemon some food," He says. "Put them in the backyard where Dawn won't be going." I yell. "Alright," He agrees calmly. I start picking up some items off the floor as he leaves.
As soon as everything is picked up in the living room I go in the kitchen and make sure the counters are clean and there isn't anything on the floor. Just as dirty as the living room.
After that I check the dining room. to make sure it's clean, and since it wasn't, I picked everything up, but dropped it all when I sneezed from breathing in dust.
Reggie walks in the moment I sneeze. "I'll clean a little more in here, you can go get Dawn from the train station," He tells me as he starts picking up the stuff I dropped. I run out the front door to go and get her.
(Dawn's POV)
I notice that the train I am on is just about to enter the Veilstone city station so I grab my bag and make sure I am ready to get off. The train comes to a stop at the station and I see Paul sitting on a bench waiting. I get off as soon as the door open and I run over to hug him. We also kiss.
"I am so happy to see you again!" I say exitedly. He smiles and lets go of me. "It has only been a couple of days you know," He tells me. "I know, I just couldn't stop thinking of you," I say, slightly embarrassed. "I know, and I had a hard time thinking of anything or anyone else too," He says just before kissing me again.
We turn to walk back home and we both notice lightning in the distance, but he is the first to say anything. "I think we should be careful, looks like that's a pretty big storm," He insists. "It looks like it's heading in the direction of the pokemon league, though, not here," I tell him. He nods in agreement.
We get to his house and the sky is getting a bit more cloudy and grey. He starts looking a bit worried, and I share that same concern. We walk in the house just before a loud crash of thunder, which causes me to throw myself into his arms. "It's just thunder, nothing to be worried about," He reasures me. I smile and kiss him, not noticing we have an audience.
"Let's go upstairs so my brother won't bother us," Paul insists. "Great idea," I say in agreement. We go upstairs and into his clean room. "This is my room," He tells me. "I..." I start before the thunder interupts me.
"Uh oh, how am I supposed to get home now?" I ask. He shakes his head. "The disadvantage to not watching the weather," He says quietly while looking down. I grab my phone from my bag. "I'll call my mom and tell her I am going to be home a bit late because of the storm. Then my phone rings. I hit the 'accept call' button.
"Hi mom," I say. "How bad is the storm?" She asks. "H-how did you know?" I question her. Mom sighs. "The advantage to watching the weather," She tells me. "I might not be home till late tonight," I say, hoping she doesn't get angry. "It's ok, just don't go sleeping over at his house," I shake my head and pull the phone away from ear. "You have a spare bedroom, right?" I ask Paul. "Yes," He tells me.
I put the phone back to my ear and speak again. "I'm sure he has a spare bedroom. There's no need to worry," I say. "When you tell me not to worry, that's when I worry most," Mom tells me. "Oh, alright, but only if the storm lasts till nine. If it ends early enough for you to make it to the train then I want you home. No acceptions. Okay?" She says. "I know mom, don't worry," I tell her. She sighs again. "That's when I worry most, oh well, love ya!" She tells me before sighing again. "Bye mom!" I say, ending my call. I hang up and put my phone back in my bag.
..............................The next day..............................
"That storm lasted almost all night," I tell him as I walk down the stairs with Paul just behind me. "I think I should get ready to go home now," I say. Then I notice the time. "Uh oh, the train must have already left the station!" I say. He puts on his shoes and looks up at me. "Then I'll have to walk you home," He tells me.
I grab my rain jacket from my bag and he takes it and puts it on me. I don't bother to button it up and we leave the house and into the light rain. "Are you hungry?" He asks. I nod. "A little bit, but yes," I say. He hands me something that was wrapped in a large white napkin. I noticed it was a jelly doughnut. "Thanks!" I say just before kissing him on the cheek.
We leave the city on our way to my house. I know there was a long way till I get home, so I ate only half the doughnut hoping it was enough. We keep walking for quite a while, a few breaks along the way. What a better way to spend my day than walking home with him.
