Singer and actress IU is gaining attention after brand new still cuts from the upcoming variety drama “Producer” were recently revealed.

On May 13, the production team of KBS’ highly-anticipated, star-studded new drama “Producer” unveiled still cuts featuring IU.

In order to portray her character in the drama, Cindy, IU transforms into a sexy singer image, which can be seen in the photos. IU is dressed in a revealing black, see-through outfit, as she performs on stage for “Music Bank” during filming. IU’s role, Cindy, is a top singer with 10 years of training under her belt.

With all the hush-hush going on about the upcoming variety drama, “Producer,” I started thinking about what surprises awaits the eager and excited fans for its premiere. As one of those fans, I also started thinking about how different this role is for IU, which, perhaps unsurprisingly, led me to thinking about my favorite role of hers to date: Our Woman Crush Wednesday this week, Lee Soon Shin from “You’re the Best, Lee Soon Shin.”

Getting one day closer to broadcast, KBS′ Producer held its first script reading with its star-studded cast.

On April 6, KBS released photos of the script reading that took place at the end of March in Gangnam. Present were writer Park Ji Eun, Seo Soo Min PD, and director Yoon Sung Ho, as well as Cha Tae Hyun, Kong Hyo Jin, Kim Soo Hyun, IU, Na Young Hee, Park Hyuk Kwon, Ye Ji Won, Kim Jong Kook, Seo Ki Cheol and more.

Remember HIGH4's awesome debut track "Not Spring, Love, or Cherry Blossoms," featuring the lovely IU with the voice of an angel? It did really well when it first came out, so it comes as no surprise it's returned to the music charts despite a year hiatus.

It has been revealed that singer IU will be taking part in singing the theme song for SBS’ real-variety program “Take Care of My Dad.”

“Take Care of My Dad” is a show that focuses on the relationships between a number of male celebrities and their daughters.

SHINee's Jonghyun dished on his feelings about making his solo debut during his 'hashtag' interview with 1theK!

Jonghyun revealed that he came up with 'BASE' as his album title because his first encounter with music was with the bass instrument, and also mentioned that it rhymes with Taemin's solo album title, 'ACE'. He also chose IU as the artist whom he wants to collaborate with again. Although they previously collaborated for IU's "Gloomy Clock", he said wants IU to feature in his song next time. He later expressed his admiration for Wheesung, and said that he is paying homage to him with "Hallelujah".

IU and rookie labelmate Yoon Hyun Sang show off their adorable chemistry as producer and singer in behind-the-scenes videos of the making of his debut album Pianoforte.

Loen Entertainment has released, via Daum Music, a video of the production of Yoon Hyun Sang’s self-produced album, portraying his ability to direct the way his own album reflects his musical identity. Viewers are then graced with the presence of IU, who quickly moves onto communicating with him casually, as they are both 93-liners. High4’s Sung Gu teared up as he talked about IU.

High4 appeared on MBC Music’s Idol School set to air on October 28. During the show, High4’s Sung Gu shard the story behind crying in front of IU and hardships he went through before debuting.

High4’s Sung Gu said, “I spent my trainee days with IU. At the time IU told me, ‘I will help you out once you debut,’ and I’m so thankful because she kept her promise by appearing in the music video for Not Spring, Love, or Cherry Blossoms,” revealing that he cried while drinking with IU afterwards.

Sung Gu also shared that he appeared as an extra for over 100 times before he debuted as he dreamed of becoming a singer. MC So Jin commented, “It seems like Sung Gu really worked hard in his life. I hope that he becomes successful as High4,” bringing warm atmosphere to the set.
