Actress, entertainer, music artist, film & TV producer, fashion designer, entrepreneur and humanitarian Jennifer Lopez has been called one of the most powerful and celebrated celebrities in entertainment.

She has sold over 55 million records worldwide and starred in multiple box-office #1 films, including “Monster-In-Law” and “The Wedding Planner.” In 2001, “The Wedding Planner” was the nation’s top-grossing film, while her album, “J.Lo,” was #1 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart. The two simultaneous #1 honors made Lopez the first woman in history to have a #1 movie and #1 album in the same week.

In May 2011, Lopez released her highly anticipated album, “LOVE?,” on Island/Def Jam Records. The first single, “On The Floor” (featuring rapper Pitbull) shot to #1 in 18 countries and became the most downloaded song of her career. The music video set an all-time record making Jennifer the first female artist on Vevo to rack up 100 million views in the shortest amount of time. The music video has become the most watched music video by any female artist in the history of YouTube, logging in over a staggering 450 million views. The year has been filled with many accolades and awards including the American Music Awards Best Latin Artist of the Year and Glamour Magazine named Lopez as “Woman of the Year” with a cover on the year end issue.

The “Love?” album brought together some of today’s hottest producers, songwriters and superstar artists, including producer, RedOne, Stargate, Taio Cruz, Tricky Stewart, The-Dream, Danja, D-Mile, and Radio. Lady Gaga also collaborated on two tracks, “Hypnotico” (which she co-wrote) and “Invading My Mind” (which she co-produced). Rapper Lil Wayne is featured on “I’m Into You.” “LOVE?” was executive produced by JLO, RedOne, and Antonio “L.A.” Reid.

In addition to returning for Season 11 of “American Idol” in 2012, Lopez will launch the groundbreaking series “¡Q’ Viva! The Chosen” along with choreographer Jamie King and Marc Anthony. As co-executive producer and star, Lopez will travel throughout South America to discover and meet outstanding Latin singers, dancers, musicians, and performers. Premiering January 2012 on Univision, the series will document an extraordinary transcontinental road trip to bring viewers the drama and intense emotions of the incredible stories and personal journeys that they will uncover.

Two major films co-starring Jennifer Lopez and a guest character role in a popular animated film series will be released in 2012. Lopez will co-star in the romantic comedy film, “What To Expect When You’re Expecting” (Lionsgate Films) slated for May release. In fall 2012, Lopez will co-star opposite Jason Stratham in an adaptation of the crime/thriller literary series, “Parker,” directed by Taylor Hackford.

Lopez’s lent her voice to the character of Shira, a sabre-toothed tiger, in the new animated film, “Ice Age 4: Continental Drift” also scheduled for release in 2012.

Lopez’s production company, Nuyorican, is in development on several film and TV productions that includes a partnership with 20th Century Fox, including the romantic comedy “Taming Ben Taylor,” in which she will star as a top-notch real estate agent who wins over a rugged vintner; “Help” for ABC; “Sweet Little 15,” which tells a young Mexican girl’s coming-of-age story as she plans her Quinceañera; and the teen television comedy and book series, “Amigas Sweet 15 Club,” which will follow five teens in Miami who run a Quinceañera (Sweet 15) business. Lopez has a burgeoning reality television department that includes the production “South Beach Tow” for TruTV.

Nuyorican is also working on notable film projects, including “The Governess” and a remake of the hit 1980s comedy “Overboard.”

Lopez recently starred in the film “The Back-up Plan.” She had last been seen in the feature films “El Cantante,” a drama about the life of salsa legend Hector Lavoe, and “Bordertown” opposite Antonio Banderas – both of which she produced.

She made her feature debut in the highly acclaimed “Mi Familia,” which garnered her an Independent Spirit Award nomination for her role as the young mother, Maria Sanchez. Lopez earned widespread acclaim for her work in the title role of “Selena,” which brought her a Golden Globe Award nomination. In 2002, Lopez was awarded ShoWest Female Star of the Year, and in 2006, Lopez received the Women in Film: Crystal Award. Additionally, the National Council of La Raza, the largest Latino advocacy group in the nation, named her Entertainer of the Year at the American Latino Media Arts (ALMA) Awards.

Her other film credits include Lasse Hallström’s “An Unfinished Life” with Robert Redford and Morgan Freeman; Oliver Stone’s “U-Turn”; “Maid In Manhattan”; “Money Train”; Francis Ford Coppola’s “Jack” with Robin Williams; “Blood and Wine” opposite Jack Nicholson; Luis Mandoki’s “Angel Eyes”; “The Cell”; Steven Soderbergh’s “Out of Sight” with George Clooney; Michael Apted’s “Enough”; and “Anaconda.”

Via Nuyorican, Lopez made her foray into the role of television producer with her reality show, “Dance Life,” as well as the drama “South Beach Tow.”

Lopez set the branding standard for celebrity fragrance, apparel and accessories. Her latest fragrance, Love and Glamour, marked 17 successful launches, taking in over $1 billion combined. A new fragrance, Glowing, will launch in 2012. In 2006, Lopez was awarded with the prestigious ACE Fashion Icon of the Year for her contribution to accessories and the fashion industry. Lopez launched an exclusive fashion collection with Kohl’s in the fall. L’Oreal has named her their latest Ambassador. Gillette will feature Lopez in the global 2011 premiere Venus / Goddess campaign. Gillette established the Venus Goddess Fund for Education that enables global educational opportunities for women through partnerships. Sharing the similar initiatives, Lopez’s Maribel Foundation and the Venus Goddess Fund have formed a partnership as a part of the campaign.

Lopez’s dedication to assisting children in need and to the empowerment of others is far-reaching. The Girls & Boys Club of America has named her their national spokeswoman. Gucci is featuring Lopez in a national advertising campaign along with her twins Emme and Max launching its children collection. The campaign will benefit UNICEF.

Her commitment to making a difference and her passion for making this world better is highlighted through her work with children via The Maribel Foundation, a not-for-profit she started with her sister, Lynda. The Maribel Foundation is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of women and children, and raising the level of medical care available to them. The foundation is currently working with Children’s Hospital Los Angeles on a “telemedicine” program that will help underserved communities around the world to be treated with state-of-the-art technology and by top doctors. The organization opened its first telemedicine center in Puerto Rico in 2010 and will open a new center in Panama in 2012.
