8th December:
Michael Jackson has approached X Factor band JLS to support him if he embarks on a UK tour.

The superstar, 50, wants to meet the band's mentor Louis Walsh, 56, in Ireland.

‘Its fantastic news for JLS,’ Louis tells The Mirror. ‘If talks go well then going on tour with Michael would be an amazing opportunity for JLS.’

14th December:
DESPITE just missing out on being crowned X Factor champions on Saturday night, JLS have announced they will perform in Ireland this week when they join a star-studded line-up at Dublin's O2 Arena on Tuesday night at the Cheerios Childline Concert 2008.

16th December:
They may have been lost out to Alexandra Burke in The X Factor, but boy band JLS are still in big demand.

They will be performing alongside Boyzone, Enrique Iglesias, Shayne Ward and Anastacia tonight at Dublin's 02 Arena.

It will be the biggest crowd the group, which includes South Croydon's Jonathan "JB" Gill, have ever played in front of.

The gig, which is a Childline charity concert, is sold out and the arena has a capacity of 14,500.

18th December:
X FACTOR runners-up JLS are coming to Stevenage.

The male vocal harmony group which consists of Aston Merrygold, 20, Marvin Humes, 23, Jonathan Gill, 22, and Oritse Williams, 22, will be performing at the Chicago Rock Café on Stevenage Leisure Park on January 15.

Nine-hundred tickets went on sale today (Thursday) and 250 have already been sold.

X Factor finalists JLS are performing in Portsmouth this weekend. After being beaten to the top spot by Alexandra Burke on Saturday night, one of the boys' first performances since the X Factor final will be at Liquid here in Portsmouth.

JLS are reportedly furious with X Factor bosses who insist that Louis Walsh can't manage the group.

The band, who were runners-up in the final, are angry that their contract stipulates that they have to be looked after by Modest Management.

X Factor runners-up JLS's hopes of signing with their mentor Louis Walsh have been dealt a crushing blow - they're already signed to another company.

All X Factor finalists are contractually obligated to sign with Modest Management, for at least a year after the show ends.

The four-piece were hoping Modest would release them from their contract so they could sign a deal to be managed by Walsh, but their request has been refused.

LS will spend Christmas in Islington with Alexandra Burke.

The X Factor winner has invited Aston Merrygold, 20, JB Gill, 21, Oritsé Williams, 21, and Marvin Humes, 23, to her house on Christmas Day for turkey and the trimmings.

9th January:
X FACTOR runners-up JLS will be performing at Club Metro in Peterborough next month.
The boy band, featuring the city's own Aston Merrygold as lead singer, will be at the club, near the POSH ground off London Road, on Saturday February 7 and Sunday February 8 before embarking on an X-Factor tour of the country.
The High Society club-style nights will feature DJ's, dancers and other entertainers as well as re-formed support band Blazin Squad with Kenzie.
JLS will be on stage at 10pm and will then meet and greet fans. The Saturday event is for over 18's and the Sunday one for age 13-17.

10th January:
It has been revealed that some of the contestants participating in the X Factor live tour will make as little as £100 per gig.
The tour is expected to bring in millions of pounds but some performers will earn less than an average gig in a local pub, says a report in the Daily Mirror.
Tickets for the X Factor tour cost between £30-£45 for the performances in Dublin and many dates are already sold out.
Alexandra Burke, Eoghan Quigg, Laura White, Diana Vickers, Rachel Hylton and Daniel Evans are reportedly getting a fee of £250 per concert.
However, boyband JLS will earn just £100 each for some of their performances.

Added On 10th January:
X Factor boy band finalists JLS performance at a free gig was marred by a mini-riot.
The ladies favourites hit Fairfield Halls in Croydon yesterday (Monday) night and according to reports there was mayhem.
Chaotic scenes erupted, as disappointed fans tried to gain entry into the venue after more fans turned up then anticipated.
2,000 fans congregated at the 1,500-capacity venue, crushing and pushing to get a glimpse of the television stars.
According to reports five teenage girls were hurt and four of the girls were taken to the nearby Mayday Hospital.
