I think you will find that the comment above was made some time ago & indeed precedes the currently equipped banner & Icon. If it is an unnecessary expulsion of acquired vocabulary you are after then you need only ask & i'm sure some body will be honored to oblige.
However i feel the 1.5 word sentiment covered the issue it raised in it's entirety.

I agree we need a new banner more then anything else. But who created the site? there the only ones capable of changing it.
