Kowalski Question

Have you guys noticed?

In the past, Kowalski was smart but funny and seemed like a total member of the Penguins. But then they made him this mean mad scientist person, and to tell the truth, I hate it!

Erm....... Mean? What'd you sayin? xD

In the movie, I think he was just silent and not as talkative as in the series. He followed directions a bit more in the movie than in the series, but he isn't mean! He only is a bit more... creative... than in the movie; he creates more inventions and occationally becomes a mad-scientist! But he is nice, no doubt about it! :D

Well, I sort-of noticed that too (glad to know that I wasn't the only one that noticed that), but I think there is a good reason for that. The creators have a habit of foreshadowing (hence, the time-machine, shrink ray, Blowhole, Hans, Badgers, etc...were all foreshadowed)

... so, the mentioning of Blowhole when Kowalski's invention almost destroyed the city in "Invention Intervention", Doris in Skipper's dreams, Jiggles still somewhere hidden and only Kowalski knows where, and he seems to be more of a rival to Skipper now than during the first season (I think it started after the Jiggles episode because I think Kowalski thinks his teammates don't appreciate his love for science & his need to experiment). Also, he seems more likely to lie than the others if it benefits him (like in "Friend-in-a-box" & "Invention Intervention" when he said to Private, "something plausible, but not the truth" which just fancy talk for lying) and not to mention, he doesn't seem to always follow orders if he feels that the order was unnecessary... (like in the "Golden Squirrel" special).

Point is, I think this is all just a build-up for the new Penguin special at the end of Season 2, which will mostly likely be a another Good episode, like “Operation: Blowhole”. Perhaps something about Kowalski (since they have been building-up his character more with each episode in season 2 with him being a mad-genius or him disobeying orders). The other characters only disobeyed a few times so far in Season 2, but Kowalski seems to be up to something in every episode. ...so, I think the new special will probably be something about Doris or Blowhole (because they mention them alot of times already), & it'll, no doubt, involve the rest of the penguins too.

& I don't think Kowalski is a mean character (he's quick-to-temper and has little patience for those who are not on par with his intelligence) ..but other than that, he seems to have good qualities too. He'll always do the right thing even if its in the end after he did something wrong. It's not like the other penguins are flawless too. They all have their own moments where they seem to not be a total member of the Penguins Team. I’m sure by the time “Madagascar 3” hits theatres they will be a whole team again, but it’s fun to watch each character grow. That’s what makes the show interesting. Well, I think I elaborated enough. (^_^)

Although I haven't noticed exactly what you are referring to, one thing that does bother me is how Kowalski sometimes goes overboard on the science to the point where it becomes tiresome. I know he is the geek of the penguins, but the only episode where he really seemed to develop was The Hidden, and I would like to see more of that rather than him continuing to be the science geek

Oh no, he's definetely not mran! I'm not just saying that coz he's my favorite penguin, but it's a fact. He had to get his own unique personality which is why they made him the geek of the group. Also, i know he can have a bad temper and such, but if you look closely, he's quite nice deep inside!
