Soul Society-Rongiku's bedroom-Rongiku's dream.
Rongiku found herself in Gin's arms dancing after her 1st successful mission at a living realm club. God she'd loved him then and still did. A kid with a tray of champagne came around to them. "Ah momma you rockin the place with those moving curves." Gin growled at the kid. "So-sorry papa bear. Grrr..here have a pass on me." The kid dangled a fancy gold coin medallion necklace from his fingers.Gin snatched it from the kid's hands and snorted. "Oh Gin take it easy on him. He's just a kid." Gin looked at her and smiled."You want this? Really? Its just a cheap trinket." Rongiku curled her finger at him and he came."Payment first." Gin pressed her close and took his time as if savoring every movement against her lips. Or maybe....he eased back licking his lips. A bit of sorrow touched his face. "I...I've always loved you. Forgive me for what I've done." Rongiku touched his face, as tears streamed down her cheeks. "I can forgive you everything except for dying. You left me." He smiled and then placed the necklace around her neck and kissed her one last time as the medallion started to burn into her skin. She woke up screaming and rushing to the basin of water to douse her chest to find nothing. Nothing except for the coins image branded into her chest."Oh no !" At her exclaimation it disappeared
she sighed. Till she touched her puffy lips feeling the place where he playfully nipped. Tears spilled down in rivers. " I love you too."
The angel found his last target drinking alone in what passed for a bar. "Really?" He shook his head and flopped next to him."Hey pal don't take this the wrong way but you need some good luck. This little beauty does the trick every time." Renji snorted. " I'm not that desperate, thanks." The angel could feel his feathers slipping away, soon he'd be lucky to make it back to the fort. He stood up and slipped it over the big dumb asses wild hair anyways."What the hell?" Renji dragged it up to his face."Shit I don't have time to care." The fire inside the medallion singed his hair, before branding his forehead. "I told you but you didn't listen,...no wait I didn't tell you. Sorry but I'm done." The angel's last feather fell, slamming his butt onto the starlight obsidian floor of the Arch-Angel Michael's private rooms. His wife rushed over to him. "Are you alright?" The young angel blushed before composing himself. "Of course. I'm sorry I lost my wings." Michael stood up from the game of chess he'd been playing with his wife."Did you finish your list?" The boy stood up and dusted himself off. "Yes, I did. All the medallions are out." The arch-angel raised an eyebrow."And her heart?" He watched the boy's face grow confused. "Her heart? No. Its in her chest." The Arch-angel shook his head. "No its not." Hisana furrowed her brows at him."How do you mean that dearest?" Michael frowned.
"Her heart of hearts-her gloryflower. It's not in her chest, she gave it away. It must be found and planted." The boy's eyes got so big Michael almost laughed. "But that would mean...." He shook his head again, the boy had never been much of a student."Killing her? No, not exactly. The flower can be planted as long as he is alive."
He saw the boy catch what he was saying and disbelief awaken on his wife's face. "Wait! I know that she was cursed but for him to be still kicking....no way." Michael scratched his chin and looked up to the starry night ceiling. " And what would you bet?" The boy's mouth pressed into a thin line...."If he's alive.....I'll be a human for a whole year." Michael laughed. "That would be a vacation for you. No add the duties I give you and then..." The boy waved it off. "Fine, but if I win....you have to give me permenant wings, not the faders." Michael's wife narrowed her eyes at her husband. Michael smirked slightly."Find the heart of hearts and plant it. If nothing happens then he's dead and you can return it to her. She'll need it. May even be that his soul will have come back to search for her, but I don't think so." The boy looked flabbergasted. "But where do I look?" Michael shrugged. "Here, there, everywhere and nowhere. That's why you'll need your semi-permentent wings.Don't think you're getting off of what you did. They were to accept not be forced to take the medallions. That will have to be remedied, but not now. Now will be your first step into true humility." The kid looked up at Hisana who gave him a sympathetic smile. "What does it even look like?" Michael tipped his head sideways at the boy. "The flower or humility? You'll know both when you happen on them." Kon was just fixing himself breakfast when the angel minus his wings plopped face down onto the table. Right into Ichigo's breakast bowl. "What the hell?" The kid was naked and face down in his breakfast. Kon snickered. "So much for the surprise in the box. Huh-Ichigo." The naked boy began to flounder. "Head up!" When he didn't Ichigo pulled the blonde head up by the hair. "Ow! Ow! Ow-let go! Or just kill me. That would be better-yeah so much better." Ichigo turned to Kon. "This is what passes for an angel? Pretty pathetic." Kon frowned and scratched his cheek. "Well he was in better shape last night. Except he ate what Yuzu had left." The angel growled as he sat up hugging his hair as goose bumps popped up everywhere.
"What the...he took all my clothes! First step into humility my ass! Ah you don't have any spare clohes,do you?" He wincingly smiled. Ichigo sighed and left the table. Kon jumped up on the table next to the angel. "But what do we call you?" The angel's mouth gapped open. "We don't use names except for the big man. Michael, Gabriel, the big guns. The J man is way too busy, but even he checks up on us once in awhile." Ichigo was back by then and deposited the clothes into the angel's lap. "You might not want to blab about that. Some might think you have a few screws loose. Not us though." Kon said patting the angel's still bare knee. Ichigo folded his arms. "So what name did you go by before you died?" The angel looked down at the armful of clothes in his lap before looking back up."I died before I lived, so I never got one. I was raised with all the others like myself. Not that it was bad growing up, but we train to kill demons and one day the F.A." Ichigo looked to the floor. So this naked kid who'd just ruined the only possible day his breakfast wouldn't be interrupted by his father, was a kid who'd never lived. Not even got to breathe a breath of air was nameless. Shit. "Your name is Abel. Like in the bible. That's what we're going to call you." The kid blinked up at him. Damn it! Tears were falling down in floods from the kid's eyes. "My name is Abel." Kon coughed as he swallowed the emotional stuffing down."Clothes Abel or you'll catch a cold."
Renji's room-day he recieved the brand.
Renji had run out of the bar holding his burned head and had gone right to squad 4's healers, but when they removed his hand there had been nothing. Not even burnt hair. Yet now as he stared into the mirror it the emblem from the medallion was clearly visible. How could they have missed it? "How did they miss you?" Monkey and Snake suddenly appeared. "What do you want now Renji?" Monkey folded her arms. Renji squinted at them. "I didn't call you." Monkey looked down at Snake in a way that said he was going to be lucky to live through the day. Snake swallowed hard. "I felt the pain and figured he was in trouble again. Didn't you?" Monkey snorted and was about to leave, when Snake paled and tugged on her tail. "Look we know that symbol. The one on his forehead." Monkey pulled Renji's head back and frowned at the brand. "You're right for once. Never would have guessed he would have been from that clan." Renji pried his hair from her grip and winced as he patted the bruised section. "What do you mean that clan?" Monkey rolled her eyes. " Boy are you stupid. Parents. You did have parents or did you come from a vegetable patch." Snake snickered. "Of course I had parents!" Monkey eyed the crest. "You know it doesn't look so bad with all the rest of your tattoos. Its the Gloryflower clan's crest. They were the best zanpakuto makers in all the lands. Nothing could touch them in craftsmanship or power. That is why its so unbelievable your one of them.....though she did have a twin brother....now that I could believe. Being a mage, they had quite the rep with the ladies. Even after they were married if they married. Still can't see it with you though." Renji frowned. "What do you mean were?" Snake shook his head. "All the smith's died in some kind of magical trap, no one knows if it was one of their enemies or one of the twin brother's spells gone wrong." Renji thought back threw all the years. "How come this is the first time I've heard of them?" Monkey snorted. " First time you asked to hear about them." Renji grit his teeth. "I mean there's nothing about them that we learned at the academy. Or in the library or the archives. If they were that important, that powerful...." The two nodded to each other as a light bulb finally went on in Renji's head.
