Byakuya slept uncomfortably, his once dreamless sleep now bothered considerably by his so called guardian. With each dream she became more and more detailed. Now she came to him unlocking more and more of the secreted away doors of his childhood. By morning he would not remember the dream but his doors would be weakened and he would have to meditate for hours either at the school, the living realm's house or his own home. How dare she try to undo all his work! All he had strived for! He could not-would not return to the uncouth youth that was far too emotional to handle even a game of tag with the most unpleasant female in the Soul Society. Yurowichi. Just mentioning her name made his lips snarl up. He had even gone so far as to allow squad 4 to make him a concoction to make him dreamless. He could only hope it was victorious.
Jamie tried to prop her eyes up by reading her favorite book. She'd lost the cover and most of the pages years ago, but it usually could keep her up, but not tonight. 1/2 way through her eyes hit the bag. As per the new norm she found herself in the hospital room, where he sat like a king surveying his kingdom. From where she force feed him the history of the soul smith and soul reaper. She curtsied sarcastically."So sorry your highness, do I disgust you?" Tonight though unlike his past months, he didn't ignore her. "No, you do not." Which made her stop and lose her sarcasm completely. "Huh? " Byakuya frowned at her. Still trying to see past the shadowy fathoms of her hood."I said that you do not disgust me. But as for your so called lessons you are wasting your time. There is nothing you can teach me." He snorted and looked down his nose at her.Jamie blinked. Wasting her time? Nothing to teach him? Jamie smirked. She flashed to him, straddling his waist, trapping his arms with hers. Leaning close to his ear, her voice soft. "Are you sure? I could make you into my favorite pet for so long you might come to like it." Jamie licked his ear. Byakuya stiffened and snorted. "What? You've never licked the ears of your girlfriend? Don't tell me you're still single? Oh my god!" She sat back mockingly shocked. To his tense face she whispered. "Are you still a virgin?" At that Byakuya gripped her leg and turned the tables on her. He pressed between her legs with only the blanket, underwear and her hooded robe. His arms on either arm, he looked down his nose into the hood."Show me your face. I won't tell you again." Jamie swallowed hard and then stiffened. "What will you do if I do not? Rape me? I've been there before. So go ahead, I crossed the line." Byakuya paled at the news and was angry at the same time. As if he should have been able to stop that from happening to her. He backed away and to the edge of the bed to allow her to escape him. Jamie touched his shoulder, he shrugged it off and stood away from her. Jamie sighed. "Look if I couldn't handle the fire I shouldn't of been in the kitchen." She laughed. "Actually I can't cook. Try as I might, its more of a disaster then a success." When that did nothing to loosen him up she sagged. She walked to him. "Look that happened over 1500 years ago. You weren't even born yet, so don't be so upset for me. And don't credit yourself too much for pinning me down. I allowed you to, to see just how far you could be pushed into doing something. You don't disappoint. Then again you are a Kuchiki....just like him....If I would have been any normal woman yes you would have definitely had me. But then we know I'm not. So get over it. You showed yourself just how far you can be pushed into reacting. Still think there is so very little I can teach you? Hmm...."
Byakuya stiffened and then relaxed with a nod. "So I should thank-you for showing how much we are attracted to each other. You can not help wanting me and I can not help feeling for you what I feel." Jamie stiffened. "My you do have a big ego. You pissed me off, by saying I didn't have any more to teach you. You're so..so..so arrogantly snobby, you refuse to show any emotions. Until I did what I did, you did show some even if you refuse to acknowledge it. Its you who was turned on, not me." Byakuya stilled.
Had he? Had his body reacted?
"You are mistaken. This is a dream. You saw what you wanted to see, felt what you wanted to feel. It is you who are deluded. As you said you are my protector. Meaning you are so far beneath my station you would be lucky if I even gave you a passing thought while you were doing your job." Jamie felt the mark hard enough to nearly cry. No this bastard would not be allowed to hurt her this way. "Then you are right. I have nothing to teach you. You cut to the chase and it is done. Clap yourself on the back, The next time you'll even see me is when your life is at risk. But you are so good I doubt you'll ever need me to risk my life and soul to keep you kicking. Oh that's right you did, but you were an ass. A weakling wanting to give right in. Not a fight in you. Maybe the line has become too diluted with sissies, your namesake was not. He was a man of many strengths, you sadly do not have his heart. Just his looks, a true disappointment." Byakuya narrowed his eyes at her, his hands balling into fists at his side barely keeping himself under control. "Then I am glad you will not be coming back. That way I will not be a disappointment to you." Jamie snorted. "How unfortunate you have already forgotten my role. I am your protector. I don't have a choice in the matter. Only if you marry up and have a litter that may let you off the hook and put one of your children on it. Do you really want to saddle one of your progeny with someone so lowly to guard them? Hmmm...." Byakuya thought of the ladies waiting for him to chose and shivered at the thought of taking any one of them to wife. Jamie felt badly for him and reached out to him in sympathy. He caught it. Her arm had a long thin slice at the elbow. "Like I said you cannot help yourself. " Jamie ripped it out of his grip flinging him across the room as if he was nothing. She dusted her hands off on her robe as if she had touched something unsavory. "Like I said too much ego. I felt bad for you. Even I was allowed to fall in love with the man I still love. Gone as he maybe, I will always love him. Where you? You are an established royal, with hardly a say in who you will marry. My love was a poor lord but happy to be so as long as he had me and I him. Now his family has flown so high that happiness means nothing and emotions are a sin to show not a joy to share. I am sorry to have shown you so much care. I will only do as I am supposed to do from now on. Good-bye for now." With that she merely disappeared leaving nothing of herself, unlike her usual. He felt hollow and cold. Shivering he woke up.
Jamie snorted as she woke up having to sneeze out the embarrassing mess of saliva that had found its way into her one nostril. Uryu wiped her face with a warm wet cloth before putting it into the bowl of hot water and handing her a dry one. She took it reddening with embarrassment.
"Must have been one hell of a whet dream from what I heard." Marz snickered from his spot on the sofa. Which got him a book and a bowl thrown at his head. He caught both, one in each hand dropping the book as it was full of smith slobber. Then he heard something from her he hadn't heard in years....
Uryu had come in from one of Mira's muscle making runs and had seen Jamie face down in her favorite book having passed out again. As usual she had it covered in saliva. For some reason she had more then the usual person and made a much larger mess. He went and got the two cloths and the hot water in one of the perfect white bowels. Coming back her body twitched and her usual only saliva covered annoyed face was in a pained manner. Then she woke up and sneezed, Uryu shook his head and wiped her face till it was clear. Noticing that her eyes didn't raise up to his. Something was wrong. When Marz's quip was put out she didn't even look just threw the soaked book while Uryu had to added the bowl. Before having to suddenly catch her as she began to sob uncontrollably in his arms. Uryu looked at a shocked Marz who swiftly came and put his arms around the both of them.Uryu didn't miss the tears that rained down from his lady. Tears with faces and actions in the saline. Of....no it couldn't be. Byakuya Kuchiki, not only was he a captain but first and foremost a Soul Society lord and not to be forgotten Rukia's older brother. Not someone you'd expect to see in a memory tear of a 3000 plus year old woman-girl. His eyes went to Marz who shook his head sadly. "I'm sorry. This homecoming isn't at all going well." Marz nodded and sagged. Jamie wiped her face on his shirt. "No it hasn't, but all we need is to find P.B and it'll all be fine." Uryu wrapped Jamie's still shaking body tighter in his arms. Mars sighed heavily."I wish it was going to be that simple, but it won't be.It never is."
