Jamie sat on Ichigo's bed looking up at the sky with the lights off curtain's pulled except for the slice that she was looking through. So it wasn't much, but enough for her. Ichigo was put on the couch in the living room even though she protested. Yuzu knocked lightly on the door. When she didn't respond Yuzu hesitated and then swallowed before entering into the room. "Are you sleeping?" Jamie snorted and turned. "Sorry. I can go." Jamie shook her head. "No I'm sorry. I'm in a rotten mood, but come sit tell me about your life here. Are you happy?" Yuzu went to sit on her brother's bed and let her...ancestress slowly turn to her. "Oh your crying! Did Ichigo hurt you? Did my dad, he picks on Ichigo all the time! If he has I'll refuse to make his favorite. I swear it! You just say the word!" Jamie wiped the tears away and smiled softly. "No but thank-you. Its just I've caused so much trouble for everyone and this town." Yuzu frowned. "What trouble? We had more than this before you arrived. I'm just happy P.B. is alright! " Jamie smiled. "So am I, but things are going to only get worse. And I don't want your family to get too involved with me. I've got alot of enemies here abroad and beyond I shouldn't be here at all . None of you are ready for what ...." The look on Yuzu's face made her pause. "I've been to hell, I may not have seen the hollows but I've felt them. My brother and sister have been reapers, my father was one. The only one who hasn't any talents is me. I don't have any talents other than my cooking." Jamie chuckled. "A mage is a talented cook, because one must be able to mix the right ingredients sometimes just by their senses. Any new spells or potions are made by such ways. In our family which is yours, we were known to have family in all sectors. My brother was a mage, he should have gone to the academy, but my uncle took him under his wing and sent him to the assassin mages school, but I didn't know that until we shared our memories....only his love for me was strong enough to get through most of those years..." Yuzu swallowed. "You mean your uncle was an assassin." Jamie shook her head. "No. There is a part of our family history I don't tell or write down. My uncle is the current High King of the Soul Society. He was always a hungry bastard, he was supposed to get the throne when my mother was revealed to be a Soul smith's mate making her an exile. But my grandfather loved her so much that he declared any offspring would then be eligible to hold the throne before my uncle. There were two of us. Now there is just me." She shivered. "He has always wanted me. If for nothing else a zenpakuto of his own which he will never get even if he made me his wife." She shivered again. Yuzu blinked and blinked again. "You mean we're royalty?" Jamie put a hand on her shoulder. "Yes, but that is a problem my uncle has already sent his assassins out. That's why I sent my children to Keisuki's and I wanted to leave. Mage Assassin's don't use just spell and potions they can corrupt the dead. Zombies. I burnt 4 of them in the park each one carried my uncle's symbol. Which after I faced off with a hollow, ate a hollow, met a crazed reaper then flashed here with your bro in tow." Yuzu shook herself. "You ate a hollow?" Jamie belched a little and blushed. "A hollow or demon can feed a Smith's energy for a month or more and I have been using more than I ever used before I was cursed." Yuzu paled. "Will any of us feel that need?" Jamie shrugged. "Only Smiths have that need and that is only in extreme cases. As mine was and I am the only pure blood left, so its hard to tell." Yuzu sighed in relief. "Would we live in a palace and knights all around us?" Jamie laughed. "Well the palace is right but as for knights, I guess you could request it. But when I used to have to go there and present a sword for my grandfather's newest knight. I didn't like going because of my uncle, but my grandfather. He adored me and my brother. Once a year he came to see us at the village to see our mother. He said it was the only time he felt at ease he stayed a week and went hunting fishing and helped us farm the land. Him and dad got along fine, he said if he could he'd chose the life of a simple farmer a simple leader. But fate rarely gives us the life we desire. Do you know how long my uncle has been high king?"
Yuzu shook her head. "No, but the headmaster might know?" Jamie laughed sarcastically. "No thanks. My uncle's sent reapers to also capture me. Ran into someone named Kenpachi tonight had to make him a new memory when things went a bit sour." Jamie put her chin in her hand. "Maybe it's fate. My brother kills our village, destroys the land, drops me into the living realm without my powers and then gets himself killed by my uncle as justified punishment. Yes, I know it would be but that would have left no obstacle in between him and the throne. Leaving one old man to overthrow who had just lost his daughter and grandchild due to his grandson. Having then to execute him for the atrocity he'd committed. " Jamie sagged deeper into guilt. Yuzu put a hand on her shoulder. "You had no real control over anything, how could you know how your brother was going to react." Jamie sighed and straightened up, rolling her eyes. "We are twins. I should have but I was so self-absorbed I couldn't see beyond my own guilt. It was my fault." Yuzu suddenly became angry and slapped her hard across the face. "Get over it! My brother blamed himself for what happened to our mother for years and years, if you don't let go it will eventually kill you and everyone around you." Jamie eased off her hand from her cheek surprised at the vehemence of her brothers descendent. "You actually hit very well. You do have a point, but old habits die hard, memories don't fade if one doesn't age or die. I can't do any of that. I only get to watch and run away." Yuzu shook her head. "Well, that's the first thing we will have to fix. No more running away, now you have us and you can't change that. Plus, with all the activity we're all in this together." A knock came at the door and Yuzu's father came in with a tray of tea and some sandwiches. "I thought you might be hungry. You don't mind, do you? I know I'm not the wizard that Yuzu is in the kitchen." Jamie saw his shyness in the bright red face which reminded her of her daughter Bya. She smiled." Come sit and chat with us. I just got a hard lesson in not obsessing on the past by your mage of a daughter. It seems we have all sectors filled once again...." She furrowed her brow. "Hmm maybe, I hope they won't come yet but if my powers are waking so will the Castle's. Of course there would be alerts about a castle just materializing out of nowhere on the news and internet. Flack would have been all over that. So that's some good news, at least for now."
