Jamie left the Kurosaki house while it was dark, she tucked in Yuzu and gave her a kiss on the forehead. She was indeed precious just like the rest of the family. A wizardess. Ichigo a smith and Karen a reaper. A full set. Taking out the cash in her left pocket she left it on the desk with a small note. "Moving out. Love you all." She turned to go and ran into Isshin. His folded arms and stern face made her shoulders sag. "I can't stay and endanger you and your family. They want me dead and if you stand with me, they won't think twice, reaper or not. I don't care you are the first blood family I have met in all these years since.... since. I can't risk you. I refuse to. Please don't try to follow me." She flashed and all that hung in the air were two tears that Isshin caught in his hand. They were hard like glass and inside were images of two children. A boy and a girl. Jamie knocked on the door of the apartment complex manager. An old woman answered a little boy peering out from her side. "Hi, I'm here about the rooftop apartment for rent. Is it still available?" The old woman smiled and opened the door even further. "Please come in. It is still available, but you're very young. Are you sure your old enough?" Jamie chuckled. "Trust me I'm older than I look. I have last month's rent and this month's. Just like the ad says." She counted out the money and laid it on the table.
The old woman nodded and put the paper down for her to sign. Jamie signed it. The boy couldn't have been more than 6 if that. "What's your name?" The little boy asked shyly. "Mine? Jamie. And yours?" Okito took her up to the rooftop, the apartment wasn't much and had a lot to be desired. But she had faired much worse in her days. After putting her things away, she walked outside with Okito and surveyed the surroundings. She could see much from where the building was situated.... her mind trickled back to those first years. He has no manners, was attacking my friend and disrespected me by calling me a chick and Okito is not a little shit! Dropping him would be too much of a pleasure to the rest of the world." She felt the knife try to bite into her flesh. She used the dangling sick boy to flatten her attacker. She dusted her hands together and eyed her adversaries. "Aiga!" A girl leaped at her and bit into her arm while the other two jumped in. Okito rushed in and clung to the back of the older boy. Biting and kicking. Jamie sighed. Concentrating on her skin it grew hot enough to bake bread on. They let go all except Okito who refused until Jamie eased him off. "Now who are you hoodlums?" Okito frowned and folded his arms. Jamie sighed. " I take it you're those who live in the building along with Okito. And from your attitude he's the bottom totem." She sniffed. "That's all grand and stuff but I'm taking over. From now on we will act like a family not a bunch of bullies vying for top billing. That means I will be teaching you everything from schooling to manners. After I get home from school." The older boy holding his nose got up and spoke. "Why would you want to move here?" Jamie sagged.
"You see out there everything is done. All clean and contained. Here it's all up in the air, here there is opportunity to steer the future for the better. If that is what you wish to do." The sack of potatoes laughed sarcastically. "As if you would have to get the gangs in this whole section to agree and you'll never get that." Jamie smirked. "That's all? Nothing else." The older boy snickered. "If you can do that without getting into trouble, I'll be your slave and follow you into hell and back." Jamie tapped his cheek and then went to the rickety and rusty fire escape half falling half jumping down as the escape broke into pieces around her. Landing as if it was nothing and continued to walk around the corner. All of them had followed her escapade down, but only Aiga said anything.
"Holy Shit! She's Awesome!" They all looked at the girl who never said a word in astonishment.
"Where the hell is she!" Ichigo yelled into the face that came at the door to Jamies house. The man was bigger than his father and more menacing than Kenpachi. Before he could even say a reply, a slender hand came from behind and gently eased the man aside. A dark-haired woman smiled warmly at him. "You must be one of her friends....at least she left a note. Most don't even get that. But you don't have to worry, she'll be alright...." The woman eyed him. "You look familiar. Honey look at him his eyes and chin." The man frowned and took Ichigo by the chin twisting his head side to side. "Well, well. He's blood. Never seen anyone who could claim her as family. Mom disappearing isn't out of the question with as much trouble that's chasing her sweet ass." Which got him a slap from the woman. " Well, she's going to nail me by the family jewels to my own plane what else can she do to me for my description of her posterior. It's not like he wouldn't agree."
The woman rolled her eyes. "Where are the girls anyways they aren't anywhere in the house or on the roof?" Her husband avoided looking at her. "Malcolmn Panzer, look at me!" He swallowed and looked down his hands up in defense. "Well, they did bring them, and mom's house is the biggest for starters. I mean we did take on the project for mom." The big man hastily grabbed Ichigo and used him as a barrier. "He isn't going to save you but show him around, he's blood so he might as well see what it means to be related." The big man relaxed as she stomped off muttering in Spanish towards the kitchen. "I've seen the house." Malcolmn snickered. "I doubt it. Mom's houses are never that simple. Come on I'll show you the tricks and treats of the design. Thanks for not fighting me using you as a barrier. I might be a big ass bastard but she's nothing you want to mess with. Maybe my brother should have married her before I met her instead." Somewhere in the kitchen glasses broke. "I heard that! You just wait till we're alone." Malcolmn smacked his forehead. "You don't have an extra bed, do you? Even a cot in a corner would be heaven compared to what I'll go through before she calms down." Ichigo smiled. "We run a medical center down the street. I'll ask my dad if we have an extra bed." Malcolmn smiled and hugged him. "Good I hate caves and underwater subs too tight in space. Column loves it that one legged freak, but let's get on showing you the house."
