...but the show wouldn't have been as much fun without the two of them together. Dr. Smith and the Robot are what made the show as silly and entertaining as it was.

I agree. Originally, I chose Smith, but he's a bad guy, so I chose Robot. Also, in the first episode, he wasn't called Robot! He was called B9.
