Michael in Munich (1998)

As stated in his interviews, Michael has cited Sam Cooke, Johnny Mathis, Ray Charles and Nat "King" Cole as some his early vocal influences while growing up. In my opinion, he chose some the best singers as his musical role models. Michael was in a league of his own when it came to singing; as a matter of fact, he could do a good impression of Johnny Mathis.

Speaking for myself, I was surprised to learn that Michael was a fan of Sam Cooke and Johnny Mathis; in addition, to reading a biography pertaining to him a few months ago. It would've been nice to hear Michael do some of his vocal interpretations...

Quincy Jones has talked about his time working with Michael Jackson, saying they came together by accident.

Michael and Frank were in their limo on the way back to the suite after another very long day. Michael looked out the window admiring the grand sights of New York City. He has been here numerous times but never truly got to experince walking along the streets hearing the taxi cabs honking, seeing the people going and coming, and smelling the pretzels by the street vendor's selling their goods. My baby brother Prince is due any day now and the anticipation is driving dad crazy! He’s still shopping for some more supplies because he’s been so busy performing shows; he has not had time to.
