Ok,
link is what Paolini said about what will happen to Murtagh in Inheritance.
• Murtagh and Thorn will both appear in Book 4 more than in previous novels.
• Murtagh and Nasuada’s relationship will be addressed in Book 4, however Christopher has noted that “Murtagh’s actions toward the Varden would have invalidated any feelings she (Nasuada) may have had.”

1. I love the fact we will see more Murtagh.
2. Paolini haven't really gave any spoilers, so all speculations must be wild and based on, well, pretty much nothing.

My speculations:
- Galbatorix will manage to get the third egg hatched and will control the new Rider.
- Either Murtagh or the "Green Rider" (more likely Murtagh, who will change his Name) will escape Galbatorix (hopefully with a bag of Eldunarí) with the help of the other one.
- Eragon and the Rider who escaped will beat Galbatorix and the Rider who didn't escaped; quite likely there will be a nobel sacrafice.
- Somewhere in between we will see Zar'roc vs. Brisingr.
(I really hope Murtagh doesn't die. Although it would still be better that hooking up with Nasuada. :P)

I really hope that Murtagh survives because he is the best character although judging from the previous books Paolini seems to like to put him into bad situations so i suspect he may kill him off in a sacrifice or something similar. I really hope not though

I think that Mutagh will find love and the king's spell in him wont work any more so he can help Eragon take down Galabotorix.
