thats what Im not sure too.there is a lot of characters who are supposed to be dead,like Minato,Rikoudu,Orochimaru,Kushina,Hashiram­a,T­obi­ram­a,H­anz­ou,­etc­.bu­t I always hope that someday they will be back(Madara was supposed to be dead too) and if its true then he may turn out to be a villian.
But who knows,maybe Im wrong.

anyway,heres the reason why I think he may be a villian:Althought he is said to be a very nice person and a hero of Konoha.But as you can see in battle he could kill with COLD BLOOD.For me this is normal but as far as I understand Kishimotos style of writting,this type of character is not going to be anything good
