10 years ago tonight I debuted a fan-fiction series I came up with to continue the adventures of one of my favorite shows airing at the time: Ni Hao, Kai-Lan. The idea came to me just mere months after the airing of that show's final episode (or special): Journey to Monkey King Castle, the first original from the show since October 2010. After that airing, I was curious as to whether or not the show would continue beyond that point. But then, I learned of its fate, sort of, and it shocked me. And at that point, I knew I wanted to continue the show, while at the same time, staying true to it...

Season 1, Episode 11
"Former Life of Ye Ye"

[[The episode begins with Kai-Lan and Ye Ye doing some gardening.]]

Kai-Lan: What kind of flower is this, Ye Ye?
Ye Ye: That kind of flower is a yellow petunia. It came from the other side of the forest.
Kai-Lan: And this one?
Ye Ye: This one is a black rose. They're more likely to grow outside of China, but they can be shipped all the way from Japan.
Kai-Lan: That's great. How do you know all of these different types of flowers?
Ye Ye: You know, by looking at them and understanding what they are. Also, reading about them. That's...

Kai lan and Pinkerton, who is wearing noise cancelling headphones go out to stop the 3 musketeers, a.k.a petunia, snowy, and Fliqpy. Suddenly, Pinkerton presses a button. Button: hydrant! Hydrant! Kai lan: Pinkerton this is the third time you pressed the bathroom button. Look Pinkerton, in the next quarter mile there is a hydrant. And after we stop this as enjoyable as shaking my butt music, I will get you some bacon. Pinkerton presses another Button. Button :Bacon! Bacon! But he later goes back to the hydrant button. Button: hydrant! Kai Lan: UGH! I mean... Can't you hold it in for the next...

It's Kai lan's birthday, and then someone rings the doorbell. Kai Lan: I'll open the door. Kai lan opens the door and she sees Pinkerton at her door with a gift and a miss you card. Kai lan: Pinkerton? What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be with Kenleyfox? And why is this a miss you card instead of a happy birthday card.Oh well, I will read this card. Card : dear Kai lan, I could not come to your birthday party because I had to go back to Canada because my species are going extinct and there, my species will reproduce. Please take care of Pinkerton for me. Your best friend, Kenleyfox....

"Stompy's Food Craving"

[[The episode begins with Rintoo and Hoho packing food for a picnic that is happening at the picnic. Stompy is helping as well.]]

Rintoo: This picnic is gonna be awesome.
Stompy: You said it. I can hardly wait. In fact, I'll pretty mich end up getting hungry by the time we get there.
Rintoo and Hoho: [[laugh]]
Hoho: Let's hope your tummy dosen't get you into trouble before the picnic.
Rintoo: Speaking of picnics, let's get going. The others are waiting for us.

[[Rintoo, Hoho and Stompy set off on their picnic. On the way, they heard...

Edvine: OK, guys, we're here.
Tolee and Hoho, in unison: You guys go on ahead. We need to get our sense of direction back.
Rintoo: Wow. I can handle going 205MPH in your car, but 90MPH on a normal highway for those two? Forget about it.
Kai-Lan: Excuse me for a moment... *quickly finds a trash can and pukes in it*
Rintoo: Holy shit. Make that just us two.
Edvine: And when all of you were at that carnival, you guys went on that rollercoaster ride?
Rintoo: That didn't even go 50MPH. 40, tops.
Edvine: I've been on ones that go, like, 80MPH at times....
