Ōkami,
Set sometime in classical Japanese history, Ōkami combines several Japanese myths, legends and folklore to tell the story of how the land was saved from darkness by the Shinto sun goddess, named Amaterasu, who took the form of the white wolf.
It earned high acclaim from MANY reviewers and earned, among other awards, the title of IGN's 2006 Game of the Year.
However, after its release, By March 2007, the total sales of the PlayStation 2 version was only 270,000. By comparison, Ōkami sold only 66,000 copies in Japan for 2006.
