Despite OUAT being intended as a family-friendly TV series, it contains a lot of story-lines and pairings which involve a lack of consent or dubious consent. Most of these are not recognised or acknowledged within the story. These are the ones I've identified:

During the flashbacks in The Heart Is A Heavy Hunter, Regina ripped out the Huntsman's heart, squeezed it to display the effect this would have and threatened to crush it if he ever disobeyed her. She then kissed him against his will and ordered him taken to her bedchamber. The clear implication here is that she raped him. The writers...

Mirror, mirror on the screen, who are the best and worst actors on the show?
Mirror, mirror on the screen, who are the best and worst actors on the show?
I thought of this while I was doing my polls about the best villain actors on the show. It also made me think of the Nostalgia Critic's best and worst Avatar: The Last Airbender episodes videos. So I decided to do a list of the best and worst actors on the show. Now, I would like to make ONE THING PERFECTLY CLEAR! Just because someone is in the worst list, it DOESN'T mean that I think they're a bad actor, just that I think that they're acting isn't as good as the others. Because I think the acting in Once Upon A Time is absolutely brilliant. So here is my list of both the worst of the best...

I was just thinking about the fairy tale characters' real world counterparts, and I noticed that most of them had names that tied into their "real," fairy tale selves. So I decided to throw together a list of their names, with meanings and explanations, just for kicks. First I will say what the character's name is in fairy tale land, then in the real world, with meaning attached. All name meanings come from the website Behind the Name, with help from Wikipedia.

I will add more characters when they are introduced and edit existing characters when we know their full names and/or know more about...

Nearly a year ago I made a list of my top 10 most beautiful women on the show but now my opinion has changed. It's changed even more because now we have some new beauties that we didn't have before. Please comment and if someone you think is really beautiful isn't here it doesn't mean I don't find them attractive, it just means they're not as beautiful as the others. If you're wondering how I feel about a certain character's looks who's not here feel free to ask me. Anyway, enjoy!

The only Once Upon A Time In Wonderland character to make this list and boy she's a knock out!...

After seeing many of these I decided I'd type one too. This is not just for the prettiest women but also my hottest men as well. I just lumped it in to one article.

10. Tamara

Though I'm on and off with her character I think Tamara is quite pretty. I love her hair, I don't know how she can make it that perfect, like hot damn I can't even get my hair to stop doing that frizzy thing unless I spend like 20 minutes with a hair straighter. I mean her hair is just so long silky and smooth. I also like her lips, just something about them. Her face in general is well structured; eyes, nose, lips are...

Many people (including the writers) seem to overlook the Blue Fairy but the truth is that she is one of the three most powerful people in Storybrook both because of her magic and because of the persuasive power she has over people. This article is meant to take a closer look at her involvement in the story and the effect her actions and prejudice has had on the lives of the main characters.

So there is no confusion the regular font is fact (taken mostly from OUATwiki) and italicized is my opinion.

Like all other OUAT fans, I have recently been binge-watching the fourth and fifth seasons on Netflix. Season 6 can't come soon enough! As I was watching one of the later episodes of Season 4, "Heart of Gold", Regina said a line to Rumple that I could not stand:

"You made me a monster! But I won't let you do the same to Emma."

She has also said this line a couple of other times throughout the series.

I do admire Regina's character development. I really do. Having friends who cared about her and Henry made her her best self. She has changed for the better, although maintaining her sass. ;)

However,...

I see a good deal of people (particularly on tumblr) saying that Regina still hasn't suffered enough for what she has done and still has a lot to do before she is redeemed. I personally disagree. I'm not here to press my opinions on anyone, but so simply share why I think she has paid a pretty large price for the things she has done and has already redeemed herself.

For starts, and this one is a big one for me; she was tortured. Now this has no direct connection to the curse and the deeds she had done in the Enchanted Forest, but it was definitely an ass-kicking courtesy of karma. Honestly the...

Majority of you voted for me to share my opinion about Belle this time.

Okay, so just a heads up I really don't like Belle, she annoys the shit out of me but here goes:
Positives:
She's smart. Now in this show being smart is a huge advantage. She was able to find Hook's ship, knock him out and get the shawl back. She's also quite a good friend to Ruby considering she hasn't known her that long. When she spotted Ruby panicking in front of a boy she stepped in and helped her which was a sweet thing to do. She also was willing to stay Ruby with the chance that she would be wolf supper.
She's also...

OUAT is all about love and so as not to leave any sort of love out they made sure to include basically ever sort of love out there. Weather or not you like one ship or another you are sure to find one you can really sink your teeth into. Here is my personal opinion on all the ships that inhabit the great marina that in OUAT.

My OTP's

Mulora / Sleeping Warrior (Aurora & Mulan)

This is my #1 OTP no competition. I've written much more extensive articles explaining my love for them. In summery I've loved them since the start but never imagined they would become cannon. Now that they have I will...

I know this topic is really old lol but I've been meaning to type this article for a long time, I've just been to lazy to do so. As of late I haven't seen many people on fanpop who still insist that Regina doesn't love Henry, but trust me on tumblr there are still a good number of them--especially on this blog called 'anti-ReginaMills'. So I decided to type this up.

For starts all Regina really did was fight to keep Henry. In the first season she was trying to get Emma out of Storybrooke mainly to keep her from getting Henry. The main reason she hated Emma was because she felt that Emma was...

Everywhere you look on the internet there's really strong opinions on these characters and the way they interacted with each other and who was in the wrong, who to blame etc. and I just want to lay out the situation how I see it.

Rumplestiltskin and Milah were married in a time when honor meant everything. Honor Before Reason and Honor Before Death were the tropes that society lived by. We saw this when Rumplestiltskin talked about how difficult his life was because of the cowardly actions of his father and how he was forced to live with that shadow. In this scene he had a wife who seemed to...

"SNOW WHITE DISCOVERY ABOUT DANIEL'S FATE"

Recently, I watched Season One episode of ABC-TV's "ONCE UPON A TIME" called (1.07) "The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter" for the second time and found myself confused over a matter regarding Snow White and her knowledge of Daniel's fate.

In one of the flashbacks for "The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter", the Huntsman was commissioned by Regina aka the Evil Queen to take the recently orphaned Snow White into the woods, kill her and cut out her heart. Sensing the Huntsman's odd behavior, Snow tried to make a run for it. She realized that that she would not get very...

This is my take on the SwanFire debate. This is just how I saw what the show was portraying and then got really frustrated with Emma's personality glitch when it came to Neal.

First, Emma was absolutely scarred by what happened. It's why she lied to Henry about his father - she couldn't stand the thought of him finding out what his father had done to her. She made up a story about how his father was a hero who died saving lives.

All her life Emma was completely unloved. As far as she knew at the time she was abandoned as a baby on the side of the road - "[her] parents didn't even care enough...

“Regina, I have something you need to see.” David announced.

“David, I just got home from an alternate universe, can’t this wait?” Regina frowned.

David set a fair-sized cage upon the counter. “You bought me a pet snake?” Regina asked, knitting her brows quizzically. “A venomous one too…”

“It’s not just any poisonous snake.” David replied. “This one prefers to poison it’s victims with apples instead of fangs.”

Regina stared blankly for a few moments and then her eyes went wide, “she got herself turned into a serpent!?” She huffed, pinching the bridge of her...

Regina: Archie is dead?
Emma: He's been murdered.
Regina: Murdered? How?
Emma: We don't know yet.
Regina: What did the pathologist say?
Emma: The who say what?
Regina: The pathologist, what did he say when he conducted the autopsy?
Charming: Autopsy?
Regina: Yes, the autopsy. To determine the cause of death.
Charming: Were we supposed to order one of those?
Emma: I think we were.
Regina: You haven't even had an autopsy yet? How do you even know he was murdered?
Emma: Well, he just laying on floor, all dead and stuff.
Regina: Was he shot?
Charming: No.
Regina: Stabbed?
Emma: No.
Regina: Strangled.
Charming: No....

I've been meaning to do this for a long time and now I'm finally doing it. Once Upon A Time has a lot of really beautiful women. I believe these women are the true beauties of the show and some need more appreciation for their looks. Please leave a comment but keep in mind this is just my opinion.

10.Mulan
First of all I'm not a big fan of her as a character, she has the personality of sand paper, but she's really beautiful. She has such long beautiful hair, even though it's in a weird style for most of the time we see her. I just love Asian eyes and her skin is lovely. She's such a natural...

One of the reasons I love OUAT is because its basically just one really screwed up family. Nearly all the main characters are related in some way at this point. While I was putting together their family tree I thought of something that would make it even better.

All we need is for two theories to be confirmed.

Theory #1: Eva and Cora are sisters. This would explain why Cora was so familiar with eva at her funeral.

Theory #2: Gina is Rumple's illegitimate daughter with Cora, unbeknownst to him. We know Rumps and Cora were in some sort of relationship so this isn't impossible.

We know so little about Cora at this point that its quite possible that one or both of these could be true and if they were the OUAT family tree would be come a circle.

Mirrors have always been closely associated with Regina, even before her debut as a character in Once through her Disney counterpart. But just because she's now apart from that part of herself doesn't mean that the mirrors are any less symbolic. That said I won't be talking much of her relationship with the magic mirror (aka Sidney) as my goal here is to address the symbolism of the mirrors.

Mirrors as Symbolism

The mirror thing started pretty early with Regina.

Back in season 1 Regina was probaby the character most seen in front of the mirror. And quite a number of times she would be holding...

As with my last article; my conversations with Audreygrace inspired me to make this one. Tbh she practically co-authored this one lol--that said I will again be using comments from the mentioned conversations.

Regina is a woman who just seems to have such a hard time letting things go--from having a hard time forgiving those who wronged her to struggling to forgive herself.

As mentioned prior, Regina can hold a wicked grudge, I mean she cursed a town for 28 years because little Snow White had a hand in the death of her lover. But this grudge-holding isn't just limited to other people. In fact...
