Percy Jackson and the Olympians PJO/HOO questions...

Okay, so I got this new question that just popped into my head about the end of the PJO series... Caution, if you have not read or finished The Last Olympian, this could be a spoiler! So my question, In the Lost Hero, when they needed a god to defeat the giants, why didn't Percy try and contact Zeus in dreams or Iris-message or something and try to get back his offer with Zeus to become a god so then he could help the 7 defeat the giants. Then, he could have still counted Percy as a demigod, or he could of made the 7th like Nico or Reyna or someone... Like has anyone else asked themselves or others this question?

Also, I just realized that Percy's Grandfather and great-grandmother both tried to kill him and said they wanted him dead. A lot of people he was related to wanted to kill him. Because Gaea gave birth to Kronos, who is the father of Poseidon, who is the father of Percy. So, his dad's dad, and his dad's dad's mom tried to kill him; his grand-father and his great-grandmother
