the view was awesomesauce!! two things really caught my eye. one, a very shiny cabin that seemed to give of its own light, and two, an enormous archery practice area. groover pointed and the glowing cabin. "that is where you'll live during the summer." "WOW!" was all i could say. the whole camp itself was really cool looking, but the glowing cabin was the most cool. i followed groover around, still not caring if people stared. we passed the archery range, the cabins, the canoe lake, an arena, the bathrooms, and the dining pavilion. "this is a really cool camp." i said when my tour was over. "i know." he replied. "what are you supposed to be, anyway?" i asked him. "im a satyr." he said, "we are sent to a lot of schools to find half-bloods like you." he responded. "what is a," i made finger quotes, "half-blood?" he stopped walking. "a child of the gods of Olympus. you are a child of Apollo, the god of the sun, music poetry prophecy, and healing." i raised my eyebrows, waiting for the cameras to come out and tell me i was on a prank show. "you don't believe me, do you?" he asked. "im not sure what to believe, at the moment." i said. we went to the pavilion to eat lunch. i did not know where to sit. "over this way." groover said. i followed him to a table with a bunch of random kids. people whispered, "why does she wear that kind of stuff?" or, "why is she here?" groover spook up over the whispering, "Apollo cabin, this is your newest half sister, Lilia Soa." i sat down on the edge of the table, not really feeling like i belonged there. Lisa. i just got claimed too." a girl, i guess her
name was Lisa, slid over by me. i was just staring at the cup in front of me. "just tell it what you want." Lisa said. i thought for a moment.
"chocolate shake." i said. at once, the cup filled
with a frothy brown drink. i dipped my finger in and tasted it. it was delicious. i took a drink.
a plate of pizza with double mushrooms appeared in front of me. "c'mon." Lisa was motioning for me to follow her. i got up and walked with her to an alter thingy. "put a piece of food in there." she said. i looked at her like, huh? "for the gods." she explained. i put a few mushrooms in and the crust of the pizza. the fire got bright, then it died down a little. i walked back to the table and sat down. after lunch, we went to activities. Lisa was excited. when i asked why, she said that it was capture the flag day. then i got excited.
