Today I decided to do something a little different.A lot of you know that half of my articles are Top 5/10 lists where I countdown thing that I love, but I decided to be a little more creative and try doing something else.
The creatures are a big part as to why I love the franchise so much.As of now there have been 721 different Pokemon and each of them have their own unique characteristics, traits and feel to them that makes the franchise so unique.
All 721 of them share the 18 Pokemon Types, and because they're so many,I decided to make a list of my favorite Pokemon of each type.
I already did a list of my favorite Pokemon,so if you're curious, you may want to read that one first before you read this.
And before we start, let's countdown some rules first:
First, because there are Dual-Type Pokemon,I decided that if I have a Pokemon with a Dual-Typing in a Type category but shares it's second typing with another one,I won't included it since that would be cheating, but I will include them in the Honorable Mentions.
Second, these will be my favorite Pokemon,so if I include a Pokemon that you didn't like or didn't include a Pokemon that you wanted, don't worry.Just because I didn't include them doesn't mean I hate them, they just didn't make the final cut.
Third,if you wanted to see the Pokemon of that specific Type you wanted, after I finished talking about why I love said Pokemon,I'll make some Honorable Mentions for Pokemon that didn't make the final cut of that specific Type.
Alright,let's start:

1.Normal-Type:
Arceus.
Arceus is a unique Pokemon in my opinion. It's hard to compete with a Pokemon that can do just about everything and do it all frighteningly well.Though what else can you expect of what's essentially the God Pokemon.
Unsurprisingly,Arceus is a terrifying Pokemon to come up against. It has the highest Base-Stat total of any non-Mega Evolved Pokemon. And it's ability Multitype allows it to turn into any of the 18 Types depending on what Elemental-Plate it's holding. So we do technically have a Poison-Type Legendary Pokemon.
Arceus' huge movepool and versitility gives it roles to get from any other Pokemon. It can sweep,spin-block,act as utility, wall, counter, just about any role that any other possible Pokemon can play on a team,Arceus has it covered and with completely Uber stats no less.
Do you know the phrase,"Jack of all traits,Master of none."?Arceus is the master of all of them, this Pokemon is anything you want it to be.
What I also really like about it is it's design.I've seen a lot of people complaining about Arceus' design, but I think it's a cool design and it grows on you pretty well.
I also prefer to pronounce its name as Ar-KEE-us.It's because Ar-SEE-us sound like Arse, which in British English an alternative word for buttocks. So yes,if I refer to him as Ar-SEE-us,it's basically the equivalent of calling God an ass. That's why I prefer using the pronunciation the anime uses because I don't want sound blasphemous.
Honorable Mentions:Pidgeot,Ditto,Snorlax,Ursaring,Staraptor,Porygon-Z,Unfeazant,Audino,Braviary,Pyroar,Heliolisk.

2.Grass-Type:
Leavanny:
Leavanny's pre-evolution Swadloon is the ultimate hermet Pokemon. The appearance of Swadloon hiding in its blanket bears some resemblance to the stereotypical portrayal of people suffering from hikikomori (acute social anxiety disorder) syndrome in Japanese media.Which is something that I also suffer from. The reason why I love Leavanny and it's evolution line it's because of that reason,it's suppose to be introverted. This actually reminds me a lot of Elsa from Frozen who's my favorite Disney character. She was a socially anxious person who was afraid of hurting people, but through the sacrificial love of her sister, allowed her to embrace her love that she was afraid of for so long.
I think it's a pretty powerful thing that this Pokemon exists, and despite Swadloon's withdrawn nature,it can still have a place in a team and contribute something to the Pokemon world. And what I think what makes the Leavanny line more likable is that in order for it to evolve,it needs to have a high-friendship level with its trainer.Literally for Swadloon to grow better,it needs to reach out an open up to you.
I think evolving Swadloon into Leavanny is a good example. You don't need a lot of friends to be happy, but you'll never grow if you're not exposed to new people, new ideas, the outside world in general.Just by opening yourself up to people and pushing yourself just outside of your comfort zone, even if you have a quiet, uncomplicated life, you can grow, little by little.
Which like I said, reminds me a lot of Elsa and her moral.Heck, its Pokedex entry states that it likes to make new cloak for Sewaddles.Sound familiar?
Leavanny is also very useful.Every time, when I play a Gen 5 game,I would always have a Leavanny on my team. With it's huge movepool, good speed and attack,Leavanny is both a really fun Grass and Bug-Type to use.
I also love it's design, being an elegant looking mantis with a leaf armor.
Leavanny is a very memorable Pokemon in my opinion and it will always have a special place in my heart.
Honorable Mentions:Venusaur,Sceptile,Shiftry,Breloom,Roserade,Serperior,Virizion,Chesnaught,Trevenant.

3.Fire-Type:
Charizard:
When I was a boy, even though I didn't play the games when I was young,Charizard was my favorite Pokemon.I just loved of how much of an awesome Pokemon it was.
Now don't get me wrong,I'm aware that before it got its Mega Evolutions,it didn't age well, being outclassed by other more useful Fire-type Pokemon like Ho-oh.But due to how useful Mega Charizard X and Y are,Charizard become one of the most used Pokemon out there.
And yes I'm aware that it's not a Dragon-type,but it's still dragon in my eyes.
When I was a boy, before I became an introvert,I was very imaginative, and I always imagined that Charizard was my partner.Every time he was on the show,I was hyped.I was even more hyped last year when they brought him back in one of the episodes of the 16th season.
I also really love both of his Mega Evolutions:
Mega Charizard X is Fire/Dragon-type and I was amazed that they finally decided to make it one.I love its design and it's a very useful Physical attacker.
Mega Charizard Y,my favorite of the two, while it keeps it's Fire/Flying-typing,it makes up with it with great Special-Attack and Speed stats. With its ability Drought, when it's sent out to fight,it makes a sunny weather which not only increases Fire-type attacks, but it also allows it to use Solerbeam much faster and make Water,Rock and Ground-types weak against it.
Charizard is the Pokemon of my childhood, and he always will be.Charizard was awesome then, and it's still awesome now.
Honorable Mentions:Arcanine,Typhlosion,Houndoom,Ho-oh,Blaziken,Infernape,Magmortar,Victini,Emboar,Chandelure,Volcarona,Reshiram,Delphox,Talonflame,Pyroar.

4.Water-Type:
Jellicent:
Jellicent is interesting. It has a unique typing of Water/Ghost;its design is unique as it is based on a jellyfish and it has different designs based on what gender it has, just like Nidoran;both his Male and Female form resemble a King and a Queen and it can learn a surprisingly good amount of useful moves.
Jellicent is also kind of dark, which is also a bonus.Jellicent, the Pringles Pokemon no longer reminds me of the delicious potato snack. Its entry in Pokemon Black says:
"The fate of the ships and crew that wander into Jellicent's habitat:all sunken;all lost, all vanished."
You have to give it to Jellicent,he really doesn't want to be disturbed.
Honorable Mentions:Blastoise,Poliwrath,Gyarados,Lapras,Kabutops,Lanturn,Kingdra,Swampert,Sharpedo,Wailord,Milotic,Palkia,Samurot,Seismitoad,Swanna,Carracosta,Keldeo,Greninja.

5.Fighting-Type:
Lucario:
Lucario is one bad ass but also interesting Pokemon. He was the star of the 8th Pokemon movie, which was one of my favorite Pokemon movies;it made it into Super Smash Bros.Brawl which is an awesome game and it was a powerful addition to my teams on Pokemon Showdown!.
Lucario has pretty unique typing of Fighting/Steel,making him resistant to Psychic-type and Flying-type attacks. However the Steel-typing comes with a bit of a price that it can be easily hurt by Earthquakes.
I also love its design. He's based off of Anubis, the Egyptian God of mummification and the afterlife. That's probably why Lucario has the ability to control aura, being a center-point of his design.
He has a good balance of Physical and Special attack stats, making it good to punch its opponent with his fists,or blast them away with its aura.
And in Lucario and The Mystery of Mew,he was a very interesting and complex character.
For all these reasons,Lucario is my favorite Fighting-Type Pokemon.
Honorable Mentions:Primape,Poliwrath,Hitmonchan,Heracross,Blaziken,Breloom,Infernape,Toxicroak,Gallade,Emboar,Throh,Mienshao,Cobalion,Terrakion,Virizion,Keldeo,Hawlucha.

6.Flying-Type:
Yveltal:
Yveltal is the perfect definition of an evil Pokemon.
Back in 2012,when I first saw the trailer for Pokemon X and Y,I was really excited. It said that it will be released worldwide and I was so happy because I could have had my first Pokemon game in my hands.I could only play them by downloading them on an emulator. And when it was released I knew which one of the two I would get and that was Y.I though Yveltal looked awesome. The combination of Red and Black works great, the veins around it's body gives it a menacing look, and I like how slowly it flaps its wings when in battle, almost like a zombie.Makes sense since it is the Pokemon of death.
Ken Sugimori admitted that he had artist-block when was tasked with designing the legendaries. So him and Yusuke Ohmura worked together to come up with their designs.Personally I think the end result for Yveltal and Xerneas was impressive.
But because I live in Romania,I was so disappointed to find out that they don't have any.I was incredibly disappointed. However, that didn't stop me from liking it.While Gen 6 can be bland sometimes,it has a really big charm to it.And one of my favorites was Yveltal.
I love its design. It looks like a bird that arose from a pool of blood. It was veins all-over its body and it makes it look even more menacing. My two favorite colors are Red and Black, and seeing a Pokemon designed like that gives it a menacing looking design.I also loved the fact that Yveltal is the Pokemon of death and destruction.I'm a peace-loving person, but I love villains. And I think Yveltal is perfect for a villain. And I think it's a bad ass feature, even though I despise violence.
I like the fact that it's blind but can see the souls of others.Almost like a Grim-Reaper Pokemon.
I also like the name of his signature move,Oblivion Wing, which I think sounds intimidating.
My only issue with Yveltal is that, while Dark-types are one of my favorite types,I was expecting Yveltal to be a Ghost/Flying-type Pokemon.I mean this is the Pokemon that can take away the lives of others and live even longer. So I was expecting it to be more of a Ghost/Flying-type than a Dark/Flying-type because we barely have any Ghost/Flying-types,aside from Drifloon and Drifblim.
While it's not as strong as Xerneas in battle,Yveltal is and always will be the more interesting of the two.
Honorable Mentions:Charizard,Pidgeot,Gyarados,Articuno,Dragonite,Crobat,Skarmory,Lugia,Ho-oh,Rayquaza,Staraptor,Honchkrow,Gliscor,Unfeazant,Sigilyph,Emolga,Braviary,Talonflame,Hawlucha,Noivern.

7.Poison-Type:
Nidoking:
Poor Poison-Types.They're a very useful type, but not many attention is given to them in any main-series Pokemon game, and when they do,they're usually used by the villains, which is sad.Poison-Types can be a devastating type when used right.
Nidoking is a very cool but also interesting Pokemon to me.And most of it comes from it's design.
Nidoking is quite possibly the only Pokemon that I can see living in the real world as a living, breathing, normal creature.
What also makes Nidoking interesting are his Pokedex entries which describe him as a brutal and vicious Pokemon.
Pokemon Red and Blue:
"It uses its powerful tail in battle to smash, constrict, then break the prey's bones."
Pokemon Silver:
"Its tail is thick and powerful. If it binds an enemy,it can snap the victim's spine quite easily."
Pokemon Emerald:
"A Nidoking’s thick tail packs enormously destructive power capable of toppling a metal transmission tower.Once it goes on a rampage, there is no stopping it."
Jesus! This Pokemon is more vicious and brutal than Hyderigon!
I even used one in my playthrough of Pokemon FireRed back in the Summer of 2014.
With it's pretty unique typing of Poison/Ground and its decent movepool, makes it a formidable foe that you should be afraid of.
Honorable Mentions:Venusaur,Nidoqueen,Gengar,Crobat,Seviper,Roserade,Drapion,Toxicroak,Scolipede,Dragalge.

8.Ground-Type:
Krookodile:
Poor Ground-Types.It suffers from the same problem that Poison-Types do in that there's not that any attention given to them.Only three main characters use Ground-Types:Giovanni,Bertha and Clay.
Which is a shame because Ground-Types,just like Poison-Types can be very useful, especially Pokemon like Groudon.
Krookodile is a really cool Pokemon in my opinion. It's design is based on crooks, most notably criminals.Which is evident in his design which has black stripes all over it,symbolizing uniforms that criminals wear in jail.
The idea of Krookodile being based on a criminal in my opinion is suppose to symbolize criminals and crooks because they're quite common in America.Half of the Pokemon in Unova are all based on Amrican culture.Scraffty is based on street-punks;Garbodor is based on the trash that America has in it's streets, sewers and even in the sea;Vaniluxe symbolizes the Ice-Cream that's common in places like New York,Bouffalant is based on the buffalo which is an animal only native to America, etc.
And the combination of reddish-pink,black and white gives it a really cool look.
Now I'm very sorry if my list has become a little depressing, but you should know that these kind of Pokemon interest me because it shows that these simple "kids" games can be very dark, and Krookodile is no different.
Honorable Mentions:Sandslash,Nidoqueen,Nidoking,Steelix,Donphan,Swampert,Claydol,Groudon,Garchomp,Gliscor,Rhyperior,Mamoswine,Excadrill,Seismitoad,Golurk.

9.Rock:
Tyrantrum:
Tyrantrum in my opinion is the best Fossil Pokemon GameFreak has made.
When I was a little boy,I LOVED Dinosaurs.I had a lot of Dinosaur toys and I loved collecting rocks while going home with my grandfather from kinder-garden.I once removed some of the furniture's in my room and placed the rocks and pebbles I collected as well some grass to look like a valley where Dinosaurs live. Then I placed my Dinosaurs in different areas and it resembled a valley.
Dinosaurs still fascinate me.I can even tell other Dinosaurs apart from each other because I did research about them.
I always found Fossil Pokemon to be very fascinating.I like the fact that there were Prehistoric creatures even in the Pokemon universe.I always loved Dinosaurs and the fact that there are prehistoric Pokemon I found very interesting. My personal favorite Dinosaur of all time was always the Tyrannosaurus Rex,and seeing a Pokemon based on one brought a smile on my face.
I absolutely adore Tyrantrum's design. It looks exactly like how I think a Tyrannosaurus Rex Pokemon should look like. That jagged skin, the crimson and orange coloring, the bulky, menacing look.I think it's awesome.
What I also love about it is its typing. Its typing is Rock/Dragon.That's right,a Tyrannosaurus Rex that's a dragon! Two of my favorite things in one Pokemon. And it's very useful too,it has the highest defense of any non-legendary Dragon-type Pokemon, and with it's high attack power, makes it a good tank.
What more can I say,it's a Tyrannosaurus Rex that's a Dragon, has an awesome looking design and it's a solid Pokemon to use?
Honorable Mentions:Kabutops,Tyranitar,Aggron,Rampardos,Rhyperior,Gigalith,Crustle,Carracosta,Terrakion,Aurorus.

10.Bug:
Volcarona:
Now if you remember,in my previous article I said that Leavanny is my favorite Bug-Type.But it turns out I like Leavanny more as a Grass-Type than a Bug-Type.
Just like Leavanny and Jellicent,Volcarona was always a great asset to my team in any Gen 5 game.
What I love about Volcarona the most is,as usual,it's design.
Volcarona's name comes from the combination of Volcano+Corona(which means crown in Spanish).Corona may also refer to the Halo effect visible around the sun which is caused by an excitingly hot lair of Plasma burning off of its surface. You know when children draw a sun they also draw those yellow lines coming out of it,that's the corona. It's best seen around a Solar Eclipse but it's always there.
Volcarona's connection to the sun doesn't end there either.According to it's Pokedex entry,Volcarona can burn so brightly that he's actually able to replace the Sun when there's too much cloud or ash in the air.
In fact,it was discovered in an incredibly cold Winter when it saved a bunch of other Pokemon from freezing.
Even it's wings are a Sun reference, the dark spots on them represent Sun-Spots which are cold spots on the Sun's surface which is caused by intense magnetic activity.
Volcarona's design is also very similar to Mothra from Godzilla. In fact,he's more specifically based off of the Atlas Moth, which are incredibly big and has the same color as fire.
Volcarona is the best looking Bug-Type Pokemon I've ever seen, and that makes it my favorite.
And he's the signature Pokemon of the Unova Champion Alder.Who's one of my favorite champions.
Honorable Mentions:Parasect,Scizor,Heracross,Ninjask,Shedinja,Vespiqueen,Leavanny,Scolipede,Crustle,Escavalier,Galvantula,Genesect.

11.Ghost-Type:
Giratina:
Believe it or not but on my Top 10 Favorite Pokemon list,I almost put Giratina over Yveltal but he didn't really make the final cut.But I can talk about him here as my favorite Ghost-Type Pokemon.
If Arceus is the Pokemon God,then that makes Giratina the Pokemon Devil.Allow me to explain:
It's classified as the Renegade Pokemon (How ironic is it that we share the same name),it's Pokedex entry from Platinum,Black Version 2/White Version 2 and Y states the following:
"It was banished for its violence. It silently gazed upon the old world from the Distortion World".
In his Origin-Form,Giratina has 6 wings,6 spikes and 6 outer-ribs,whilst in its Altered-Form Giratina has 6 feet,6 spikes and 6 outer-ribs.The number of the Devil is 666.
What makes Giratina stand out to me is the fact that when I played through the Generation 4 games,I never played Diamond and Pearl,I played Platinum. The reason for that is that the battles were slow, not many of the characters were memorable and the story was lacking half the time,so I skipped them and straight up went with the improved version, making it the only Mascot Legendary that doesn't belong in a pair.
Also,I love its design and the typing of Ghost/Dragon,makes it my favorite Ghost-Type.
Honorable Mentions:Gengar,Shedinja,Sableye,Mismagius,Spiritomb,Dusknoir,Froslass,Jellicent,Chandelure,Golurk,Aegislash,Trevenant.

12.Electric-Type:
Raicu:
While I love Pikachu for being a cute Pokemon as well as the mascot of my favorite franchise of all time and an international icon,he's not a very useful Pokemon.
Throughout the anime,Pikachu is probably the character I like the best.He never became flanderized and I really like the determination he has.
But I honestly prefer its evolution Raichu.
I love Raichu's design,I think it's the perfect combination of bad-ass and cute.I love the color combination of Orange,Brown,Yellow and White on him,I think it's perfect.
It has a good movepool and huge Speed, which made him very useful on my playthrough of Pokemon FireRed.
Raichu is also the signature Pokemon of Lt.Surge, one of my favorite Gym Leaders.,which makes me like Raichu even more.
Pikachu maybe be the mascot, but Raichu is still the best Electric-Type rodent in my eyes.
Honorable Mentions:Pikachu,Lanturn,Ampharos,Manectric,Luxray,Pachirisu,Magnezone,Electivire,Emolga,Galvantula,Eelektross,Zekrom,Heliolisk.

13.Psychic:
Mewtwo:
A lot of you know that Mewtwo is my favorite Pokemon of all time so it was no wonder that I would put him as my favorite Psychic-Type.
If you remember my "Getting to know Renegade1765 (Updated Version)" article, then you saw that I put Mewtwo from the movie on my Top 10 Favorite characters list.
Mewtwo is by far my favorite character in the whole show.
Mewtwo's presence represents something terrifying, mysterious, ruthless and so powerful that he wipes out entire Pokemon teams at once. The show develops the plot of the mysterious Mewtwo as a rouge weapon commissioned by Team Rocket that escapes.Who will eventually become the sinister and philosophical Mewtwo, that I've come to know and love from the film,Mewtwo Strikes Back. Many know the story of Mewtwo in the first film so I won't go too deep into it,but perhaps the most interesting thing to come out of that film is a ten minute short that serves as an introduction. This short is by far my favorite element of the Pokemon anime period, and it's called "The Birth of Mewtwo" in Japan. We'd later get it as a DVD bonus for a future film in the U.S.A under the title "The uncut story of Mewtwo's origin".
Crazy enough, before this was an anime short,it began as a radio-drama that aired in Japan, leading up to the premier of the first movie."The Birth of Mewtwo" serves as backdrop of it's creation.
Doctor Fuji is a tragic figure,he attempts to clone his deceased daughter in the English Dub,and is nearly driven mad in his attempt to resurrect her.His wife leaves him,and ends up working with Team Rocket on the Mewtwo experiment, using the funding to revive his daughter on the side.
The short focuses on a young Mewtwo in a test-tube,and has telepathic interactions with the other clones.
It's a highly emotional and cereal experience, and unlike anything you'll find in the anime today.
Mewtwo begins his life as curious and naive, very much like the Mew we see in the first film. When the other clones perish in the experiment,we get a taste of the ragging power within Mewtwo, possibly lowered when he was injected with a drug by the team.Without this short, his loathing for humanity and destruction of the scientists that created him makes him feel like a generic villain. But the short in a strange way, humanizes him.And while the movie didn't execute the message well, the message that Mewtwo taught me is that it doesn't matter how you were born or where you came from, but it's what you do with your life is what determines who you are.Making him one of my favorite characters.
I really love his design, being a cat, alien, mutant,Pokemon hybrid with anthropomorphic features.Mewtwo's design is the perfect representation of genetics (which was the theme of Generation 1 to begin with) and it shows to magnificence we humans are capable of.
Mewtwo also possesses Ultimate Telekinesis, which is by far my favorite superpower.
Mewtwo is also considered to be the strongest Pokemon in the game. While other Pokemon became less special over time,Mewtwo actually got stronger over time. And thanks to the help of his Mega Evolutions,he became the strongest in term of the stat ratting's.
Mewtwo has consistently been one of the strongest,if not the strongest Pokemon in the game for every generation.Something no other legendary or Pokemon from any generation period could compare with.
For all these reasons and more,if I even needed more,Mewtwo is my all time favorite Pokemon.
Honorable Mentions:Alakazam,Mew,Lugia,Gardevoir,Metagross,Deoxys,Gallade,Victiny,Sigilyph,Delphox,Malamar.

14.Ice-Type:
Glaceon:
I'll be honest here,I don't like Ice-types,and I only like a few.I'm very sorry if I offended you Ice-Type lovers, but they're probably one of the weakest types out there.Ice-types were usually one of my least favorites because I never found anything ice-related that interesting,I always preferred Fire-types.And apart from a couple Ice-type Pokemon, the rest don't do it for me.I also wasn't a fan of the Eeveelutions.
However, back in October when I re-watched Disney's Frozen,I realized just what a great movie it was, even if some things annoyed me.Most of the elements of the movie amount to a really great classic. That is except for one element that sets this film beyond anything I ever thought Disney was capable of in an animated film is Elsa.Never in my wildest imagination, did I think a character like her could exist. If you read any of my articles then you know that Elsa is my favorite Disney character.
Because of that, when I looked at the Eeveelutions line-up,I noticed how much Glaceon resembles Elsa.I also think Articuno has a lot in common with her,but I like Glaceon as an Ice-Type just a bit more,so I chose Glaceon.
Sure,Glaceon isn't that great of a Pokemon, but because of how much she reminds me of Elsa,I wanted to put it on the list.
I even used a Glaceon on one of my teams from Pokemon Showdown! and it was pretty good.I also like it's design, its elegance and artistic icy nature totally fits Elsa's character.
Honorable Mentions:Articuno,Weavile,Mamoswine,Beartic,Kyurem,Aurorus.

15.Dragon-Type:
Reshiram:
Dragon-Types are by far my all-time favorite Pokemon Type.I always loved mythology and mythical creatures such as dragons because I always found them interesting. So having a type dedicated to it makes me feel very happy. Also, most of the Dragon-Type Pokemon are pretty awesome.
When I first saw Gen 5,I instantly fell in love with it,but my favorite of them was,is and always will be Reshiram.
Let's start with the fact that before Mega Charizard X,it was the only Pokemon that had the typing of Dragon/Fire.Dragon-types and Fire-types are my favorite Pokemon Types and for good reason. And seeing a Dragon-Type be half Fire-Type,which instantly made me fell in love with it.
The theme of Gen 5 was the conflict between truths and ideals. And personally I'd go with the truth because I'm down-to-earth,a level-head as well as being quite intelligent.
I love Reshiram's design.A Wyvern with beautiful,white feather's and a very elegant look.
It's Pokedex entries say that with his tail-turbine he can scorch the earth or change atmosphere and the weather where ever he goes.
My favorite entry of his is from Black 2/White 2,where it says:
"This legendary Pokemon can scorch the world with fire.It helps those who want to build a world of truth."
True,it does sound like something that a man with a God complex would say,but let me explain why this entry means a lot to me.
Ever since the beginning, the children and the teenagers around me found me weird and a creep. When really I was the only justified student. If I could teach those immature bullies a lesson with divine vengeance,I wouldn't because I'm not a monster, but I do want them to see the truth.
So basically(even though I will sound weird and I'm sorry for that),Reshiram is the embodiment of the truth that I want others to see.
Honorable Mentions:Dragonite,Kingdra,Flygon,Rayquaza,Garchomp,Palkia,Giratina,Haxorus,Hydreigon,Zekrom,Kyurem,Dragalge,Tyrantrum,Noivern.

16.Dark-types:
Darkrai:
A lot of you may not know this, but Rise of Darkrai is actually my favorite Pokemon movie.Mostly because it's very emotional and it reminds me of a Disney movie near the end.
In the film, just like Lucario,he was a very interesting and sympathetic character.I really like the fact the all this time he was trying to protect the city but every one thought that he was the cause of all that trouble and that he's evil.Which reminds me of Elsa.
I think he has a very cool looking design.Almost like a living shadow.
Darkrai has a really cool ability to put his victims to sleep and cause nightmares, but he can also take that to a new level.
Take the Black/White ghost-girl.In Black/White there's a girl that will occasionally appear and disappear into thin air at The Marvelous Bridge. Not much is known about her, except that an old lady at the end of the bridge mentioned that the girl loved Abra.Maybe she's teleporting with one?Wrong, she's definitely dead. But what makes her the darkest ghost of them all is that she actually reveals her method of death,Darkrai. In Black 2/White 2 in The Strange House,we hear her ghost say the following:
"An everlasting dark dream...
And endless dream of darkness...
Dad,Mom,Abra...
Where are you...?
In the dark dream...
I heard my dad's voice..."
Darkrai:"Forget about The Lunar Wing...
Please stay here with me...
"Oh...The Lunar Wing...
I can't take it now...
But it'll be okay...
Please return the wing to the Pokemon...
I was waiting on the bridge so I could return it myself..."
The Lunar wing of Cresselia is said to be the strongest cure for dispelling nightmares. This poor girl couldn't get the wing in time, accepted her fate, and fell into Darkrai's insidious nightmare.
So Darkrai literally killed an innocent girl by constantly making her have terrible nightmares and then kidnapped her when she turned into a ghost.
This shows that sometimes,Pokemon can be very dark and brutal. And I also think it's fitting, because he is based off of The Boogeyman.
So yes,Darkrai is literally the darkest Pokemon in the franchise by far,but he will always be one of the most interesting ones too.
Honorable Mentions:Houndoom,Tyranitar,Shiftry,Sableye,Sharpedo,Absol,Honchkrow,Drapion,Weavile,Krookodile,Scraffty,Zoroark,Bisharp,Hydreigon,Greninja,Malamar,Yveltal.

17.Steel-Type:
Metagross:
Metagross is one of my favorite Psuedo-Legendaries.Let's talk about some things about it first:
I love it's design. It's obviously based on a robot or a supercomputer, which makes sense since its Pokedex entry from Emerald says:
"Metagross has four brains that are joined by a complex neural network. As a result of integration, this Pokémon is smarter than a supercomputer. "
I'm sorry if I sound stupid, but that design makes me think that I could sit on it's head in a lotus position whilst it's floating in air.I just think it's funny.
Its Pokedex entry from Sapphire says:
"Metagross is the result of two Metang achieving fusion. When hunting, this Pokémon pins the prey to the ground under its massive body.It then eats the helpless victim using the large mouth on its stomach."
Alright, this is the last creepy and brutal Pokemon on thi list.I'm sorry guys, but I like these kind of dark stuff because it shows how dark these so called "kids" games can be.I personally find this entry to be both interesting and weird.Intersting because it shows how violent it can be.And weird because how can a robot eat flesh?Either way, this one of the most intersting entries I've seen and I usually like to think about what it truly means.
Btw,guess how much Metagross weigths? It weights 12121/2 lbs, making it one of the heaviest Pokemon in the game.
Also, back in the June of 2014 when I played Pokemon Black,I used a Metagross on my team for the post-game and it became a member of the team. And it was very useful,it's a very bulky Pokemon with a huge Attack stat.It can take hits just as much as it can dish them out.
Also,it's Shiny form is one of the best ones I've seen. The combination of White and Gold is just perfect.
And it's the signature Pokemon of the Hoenn Champion,Steven Stone.Who's also one of my favorite champions.
I love Metagross for these reasons, and it's my favorite Steel-Type for these reasons.
Honorable mentions:Steelix,Scizor,Skarmory,Aggron,Lucario,Magnezone,Excadrill,Escavalier,Bisharp,Cobalion,Genesect,Aegislash.

18.Fairy-Type:
Xerneas:
I'm very sorry guys,but I'll be honest here...I really don't like Fairy-Types.I'm sorry,I know a lot of people like it,but I just can't stand them.
I have nothing against that they introduced a new Type.It helped the game to be more balanced.
Yes it did help Poison and Steel-Types,but it also diminished Dragon,Dark and Fighting-Types,three of my favorite Types.Hydreigon, one of my favorite Pokemon of all time, got WRECKED with the introduction of Fairy-Types.
Also,introducing a a new Type isn't all that new.Generation 2 did the same thing,so I don't get the appeal.
And most Faity-Types aren't even all that cute or interesting and half of them are just older Pokemon re-typed.
Alright,I'm done whining about Fairy-Types,but I just had to let it out.
Though Xerneas is the only Fairy-Type that I really like, but I still prefer Yveltal.
In Pokemon X and Y,unlike in previous Generations, the mythology and lore of Kalos isn't really given that much focus (which is one of the reasons why I'm not a fan of X and Y),but I still think they're inclusion somewhat works in the story. Not perfectly like with Reshiram and Zekrom for Black and White mind you,but alright enough to really like both new legends. While I enjoy the more negatively themed Pokemon because they show that these simple "kids" games, aren't so light-hearted,but a little positivity is always welcome. With Xerneas being the Pokemon of life and the more positive of the two, made it one of the only few Fairy-Types that I can get behind.
I also love it's design,I think it's one of the most elegant and majestic Pokemon out there. And not only do I like the fact that it's body is shaped like and X,but there are also little X's right in it's eyes.
Like I said,Ken Sugimori admitted that he had artist-block when tasked with designing the legendaries. So him and Yusuke Ohmura worked together to come up with their designs. And they were both impressive.
Also, the combination of its signature move Geomancy and the attack Moonblast is devastating.
Honorable Mentions:Gardevoir,Aromatise.

It was a long list to make, but it was worth it.
Each Pokemon have their own characteristics to make them unique, even if they share the same Type.Pokemon are fascinating creatures and are a big part as to why Pokemon is my favorite franchise ever.
I hope that you were pleased with the results.
As always,Smell ya' Later!
