(Brock sits on the bed, not knowing Pikachu is underneath it)

And today it's learned Solarbeam, Psybeam and Self Destruct. (To MechaMewtwo) You've done well, MechaMewtwo. You've learned Just about every possible attack. There's only two left you haven't learned. Thundershock and Thunderbolt. Hmm? The only two attacks that Ash's Pikachu uses. (To Team Rocket) You three! Get out there and capture Pikachu! I'm counting on you! I'm sick of waiting! I want Pikachu! And this time, don't screw it up!

(Jigglypuff scribbles all over Ash and Brock's face. Before it can scribble on Misty's face, Deaf Trainer pulls Jigglypuff away and leaves his map on Ash's chest. Misty wakes up)

(Pikachu shocks MechaMewtwo. No good)
Ash: Pikachu, Thunderbolt!

Pikachu: Pi-ka-CHU!!!!

Giovanni: Learn!
(Pikachu, out of breath, sinks to its knees)
Giovanni: (Laughs his evil laughter)

Pikachu: (Weakly) Chu-chu.

Ash: But?

Giovanni: Face it, little boy. This Pokemon can never be defeated. The world will soon be mine! I will use MechaMewtwo to take over the world! (Laughs his evil laughter) MechaMewtwo, attack the boy!
(Ash clutches Pikachu tightly, in fear)

Mewtwo: (Offstage) The boy shall win! (Enters)

Ash: What's that?

Giovanni: Well, well, well. Mewtwo, we meet again.

Ash: Mewtwo?
Mewtwo: You don't remember me, Ash. But I remember you.

Giovanni: So, Mewtwo, you've come back to help me rule the world. I knew you'd return.

Mewtwo: I have come because you have become an abomination against nature! You have created this Pokemon only to rule the world! And you must be stopped! (Uses a strange new attack on MechaMewtwo)

Giovanni: What is this attack?! Learn, MechaMewtwo!
(The attack happens to be all of Ash's happy memories. MechaMewtwo learns the attack, but nothing happens)

Giovanni: What is this?! MechaMewtwo, don't just stand there! Attack them! Get them!
(MechaMewtwo grabs Giovanni around the neck)

Giovanni: Hey! What are you doing, you fool!
(MechaMewtwo begins to speak)
MechaMewtwo: It is time.

Giovanni: I never gave you the ability of speech!

MechaMewtwo: You didn't give me the ability to do a lot of things. The only real ability you gave me was to do evil. I cannot allow you to carry on with your wicked plans. Self Destruct!

Giovanni: What?! No!
(Mewtwo takes Ash and Pikachu and quickly exits with them)

Giovanni: No! No, Mewtwo! Come back! Mewtwo! Stop! Stay! You and I can rule the world! MechaMewtwo, let's be partners! We can take over the world together! NO!!!!!
(MechaMewtwo explodes, the building crashes)

In the air
Ash: Mewtwo, how was it that MechaMewtwo was destroyed?

Mewtwo: I took all of your happy memories, Ash, to teach MechaMewtwo a new attack.

Ash: What was the attack?

Mewtwo: Love, Ash. Love, friendship and caring. Now, I must go. All of your memories of me will be erased. (Puts hands on Ash's shoulders) Goodbye, Ash. (Vanishes)

In the Forest
(Ash is asleep. His friends are all around him)
Ash: (Awakening) Whoa...what's going on?

Brock: Ash, what happened? We found you laying here.

Professor: Are you alright, my boy?

Ash: (Rubs head) I'm fine. Mom? Misty? Brock?

Professor: Pikachu? Togepi?

Misty: It's us, Ash.

Ash: (Reaches into his pocket and pulls out the
Diamond Badge) I did it! Guys, I did it! I won! The Diamond Badge! I won after all! I battled Giovanni and won the badge!

Misty: Way to go, Ash!

Brock: Congratulations.

Delia: I am so proud of you, Ash.

Professor: Well done, my boy.

Pikachu: Pika!

Ash: No!

Pikachu: Pika?

Ash: This Diamond Badge means the world to me,
and I am so proud that I won it. But I'm not going to keep it.

Brock: What do you mean, Ash?

Ash: Misty?

Misty: Yes?

Ash: (Takes her hand and puts the Diamond Badge in it) Will you hold onto it for me?

Misty: Why, Ash?

Ash: Consider it as a late birthday present. Besides, we're going to be on many adventures together. It's yours.
(Misty smiles happily)

Ash: Now, there's one more thing I must do.

Professor: What's that?

Ash: Mom? (Turns her to him) Listen, I know I've not showed much attention to you lately. I admit it. I have been growing up too fast for you. I'm sorry. But I want you to know, no matter what happens to me, no matter how much time we spend together, no matter where I go, what I do, or anything. You're still my mom. I love you.

Delia: Oh, Ash!
(They hug)

Ash: Yes, everyone. I have all I need. I will continue on my Journey to be the Greatest Pokemon Master of all time. And along with that, I have the best friends ever!

Pikachu: Pika!
(Ash hugs Pikachu)

Ash: (Laughs) Pikachu!
