Pop Culture Considering the surprise and shock of Heath Ledger's death, do you think it is in poor taste for the studio to continue moving ahead with the new Batman movie?
Quite the contrary: I'd be appalled if they delayed or shelved the film out of some misplaced desire to somehow be sensitive. As Cammie suggested: he was an actor, and his work should be known. Withdrawing any film in which he appeared would be violating who he was.
It would be worse, to my way of thinking, than going back and digitally altering films after their release, whether it's to insert things into the Star Wars original trilogy or to remove the World Trade Center in films set in NYC...and needless to say, I detest such hack jobs already.

I don't think it's poor taste at all.
