Pottermore Sorting Hat Questions and Options

These are the questions and answer options from the Sorting Hat demonstration at the Pottermore Press Conference:

Question 1: When you die what would you most like people to do when they hear your name?

JAlanaE I actually think 4 questions are too few to get a good result... I would most like to be asked ALL the questions JKR made!

r-pattz Don't worry, you're asked more than four questions! I was asked maybe eight or so? Here are others I know of: Moon or stars? Left or right? Dawn or dusk? In a fire, in which order would you save a nearly perfected cure for dragon pox that the headmaster has been working on for years, student school records dating back 1000 years, and Merlin's book? (Not sure of the wording in that one, but I know those were the three objects and I got the gist of them.) Then there was a question along the lines of "what do you most want to be known as," and there were maybe six options like the good, the wise, the kind, the great, etc. What's your greatest fear? And the answer responses are small spaces, heights, being alone, and something else. I can't remember. :S Which path would you take? Through the forest, to the castle, or on the beach. I hope that eases your mind a bit! You don't get to be asked all of Jo's questions - my sister and I got slightly different sorting quizzes - but I think it's enough to get a good result. :)

owlpost For the one about the potion, you can also choose power. There's one about what you find hardest to deal with, and the options are boredom, cold, hunger, loneliness and being ignored. Also, I think the one about fear previously mentioned is actually a wand question. Then there's one about what you're most excited to learn about at Hogwarts, and the options are Apparition, Everything Magic, Transfiguration, Flying Brooms, Hexes and Curses, Magical Creatures, and exploring the castle. The last one I know is something about catching someone cheating, and you can either cover for them, tell the professor without telling the student, confront the student, or confess it to the whole class.

JAlanaE @owlpost: Thanks for the additions! Are you sure that exactly this question about fear was a wand question? I know that there's a wand question about fear with other answer options (like fire and similar), so maybe there's one fear question for each with other options?

LifesGoodx3 I don't remember the wording, but it was basically "Which superpower would you rather have?" Invisibility Super strength Change appearance at will Change the past Read minds I'm not sure if those are all the answers or not.

BellaLovett ^That one was my favorite question I absolutely loved it and it was so easy for me, I chose changing appearance

pink-bookworm Which goblet would you drink? 1. A sparkling substance ( there is more to it but I couldn't be bothered) 2. A purple liquid 3. A hot yellow liquid 4. A ink like substance

unicorn41 I think the questions should be more personality based. On any other house test I have taken on the internet I was placed in Slytherin. On Pottermore they put me in Ravenclaw. There should be a resort button until you get to the house you want to be put in. It won't let me out of book one and I have done it four times already. GEEEEEZZZZ!!!!!

Lani27 What is your greatest fear? (Add "Darkness") Another question: What do you pride yourself most one? (There are several options including "Imagination", etc) And the "What do you want to be known as" is actually "What do you want to be known as to history?" And the options are "The Bold", "The Good", "The Wise", and "The Great".

Sasukes_Gurl I remember I got a question that went something like this: If you could open one chest, which would it be? -A pewter chest engraved with 'I only open for the worthy' -A box with something squeaking inside. -A tempting golden box (can't quite remember the details) -A sleek black box that has the mark of Merlin on it. Can't remember it word for word though :P

Pottermore: the RP

Sorry but since I have linked this to some other clubs it won't let me put a link to in in the links tab on this club. This RP will be better than most Harry Potter RP's because it will be very interactive. The only things needed are a Pottermore account and the information from it! When someone challenges you to a spell duel, Pottermore will be the medium of how you do it. You will go against each other multiple times and whoever wins that spell successfully casts it at the other RPer! The same will go with most other parts of the RP, and the house points here will be updated weekly based on the house points total there!

I’m Prefect Robert Hilliard, and I’m delighted to welcome you to RAVENCLAW HOUSE. Our emblem is the eagle, which soars where others cannot climb; our house colors are blue and bronze, and our common room is found at the top of Ravenclaw Tower, behind a door with an enchanted knocker.
