Oh! I don't know what it's called, but that has happened to me before.
This one guy that i just wanted to be friends with kept following me around and saying stuff like "I think i'm in love with you" and "Would you ever consider loving me, too?" He was a very good friend of mine before, so i put up with it. I never really liked him in that way, so when i found out that he was saying the same stuff to my sister and best friend (said he was bi to them) i wasn't the least bit upset.
