i am new to fanpop please tell me some tips and rules of the road also please fan me? <3

The ironic thing is, rule number one is that you shouldn't ask for fans. It's really pathetic. Sure, there are some people that'll add you (mainly because they want you to fan them back), but the people who can actually spell correctly won't. And we're the ones who'll beat you to a pulp. (Figuratively, of course. Because I only like to literally beat oranges to pulp.) :)

All you need to know is this:
-Don't be a faker or a poser. You will be destroyed.
-Use proper grammar unless you want a Grammar Nazi invasion.
-Post things in the right place on the right spot. Keep in mind the difference between picks and answers
-Don't spam.
-Be yourself. Lying is pointless. Stand up for yourself.

And since you're a noob and I'm old here, I should tell you that there are a lot of assholes here. (Yup, I'm one of them.) This is the internet.

Welcome to fanpop, Im Nicole, or you can call me Nikki :) Im happy to help and Im here anytime when you need it :D (Im one of those people that are on the nice side :p But that can change at times when needed...but I stay calm :p)

Its pretty cool to talk to people, these people are from all around the world. You may find yourself on there alot.

-Your profile:
At your profile you can add a motto and thats where your wall is where people and you can write on, thats where it shows all the clubs you joined and if you press the "edit profile" button you can add your favourite books, tv shows, music, and thats where you add your b-day, and your name and motto. Your profile will also show some updates on things in the clubs you joined. You can upload photos to your profile of anything, for example pictures of you or random things. You will figure out your profile quickly so I wont talk to much about that.

-Joining clubs:
They are great, thats mostly what the whole website is about. There are clubs about almost anything. And in those clubs you can join and you can upload pictures, videos, and write articles. You can also make up your own clubs and hope that people will join it and you can make as many clubs you want. (Heres the link if you want: link ) I made a club about me and I put the link up on my profile which helpd me get people to join it. At clubs you can also ask questions and answer questions and comment on different things

-To make friends easily it is easier to go in the chat room, (Dont be shy to write anything) Be yourself. Stand up for yoruself.

-Warning in the chat room:
In that chat room you will meet up with alot of people that will fan you and you will meet up with random comments, fights, convasations, arugements, sɥɔʇıq and @$$holds It can be a death zone in there sometimes but its pretty fun and funny to read it. Dont be shy to talk to people. Some people are nice but some are mean. Dont worry :)

-Warning about boys:
Boy may flrit with you and most likely there will be a couple times where a boy will ask you out. Its your choice to say yes or no, but I know alot of people that have said yes. There are some hot boys are that website but some pictures they use are fake that they get from the internet, girls use fake pictures too (But I never bother commenting on it)

-Those are some basic stuff you mainly should know for now :) If you have any comments or concerses feel to ask.

-And dont ask people to fan you.
I cant think of any 'rules' that you should actually 'follow'

1. If you ask a serious question then don't expect serious answers
2. get ready to deal with idealists, idiots, @$$ holes and great people all at once
3. Mentioning twilight or Justin Bieber on this fanclub can be risky.

Well, nikki5515 has already given you a pretty clear guide, so I won't go through the explanation on how fanpop works.
But welcome to fanpop! There aren't any specific rules that I can think of, other than don't spam, be abusive etc. But I'll give you some tips :)

First tip, don't ask for fans! I'll let you off, as you're new, but its pathetic, you should earn your fans. If you post content and answer questions like this, people will see who you are and if they like it, they'll fan you. It's annoying when people ask as most of us have never asked for fans even when we started off, and we've managed. So bear that in mind.
Don't mention Justin Bieber on a spot that isn't related to him! Sounds stupid, but once he's mentioned, in either a good or a bad way, haters will rip at him, and beliebers will fight to protect him. If you're either, I suggest you keep you opinion to a different spot.
Be yourself, and stick up for yourself. It's the only way you'll gain respect. Don't be afraid to be honest. There will be people who agree with you, and people who disagree with you, but don't feel offended if someone mocks your opinion. They're a stranger, a random person, and their opinion is worthless, so don't take insults seriously. The arguments on here are just a bit of fun in my eyes, nothing to get het up about.
And have fun! Once you get started, you'll get used to it. I can't even remember first joining fanpop, everything just flowed.

I have a warning for you though: Fanpop is addictive. Once you're on, you can't get off. Just saying.
