Why is it that...?

Why is it that you can go on and on on your Wii, Cellphone, Computer, Books to read, etc 'till, like, the next day!
But when you do your homework you're exhausted after thirty minutes?

I know the first things are fun and the homework isn't, but still... it's weird...
