Have you any idea why a raven is like a writing test?

I've been watching the newer version if Alice in wonderland and for some reason I've been thinking really hard about the answer for this question lol I know I'm weird

because one has flapping fits and the other fitting flaps was givin the most accuraye answer to this riddle in the late 1800s. when lois carroll couldnt figure out the answer to his own riddle he hel a contest to see who could get the most accurate answer or one that would at least make sense so in the end one contestant came up with the answer"because one has flapping fits and the other fitting flaps" being one of the only accurate guesses made so far
