Random Question

Are your parents weird?

Mine are. They punish me by taking away my books. Most parents are happy if their kids read, but according to my mom, I'm addicted to reading or something. (Maybe that time when I slept 15min. and had school the next day, because I was reading all night was a bit drastic, but c'mon. I'm a geek.)

Um, my parents complain that I eat too much, so I don't really have the "feed kids when they are not hungry" problem. And it's weird, 'cause my sister eats less, but she's kind of fat, and I'm not.

But sometimes when I ask them to buy me some books they keep saying "no." Then I'm like, "You've been telling me for years to read books and now I'm actually asking for a book and you say 'no.'?"

In general, they're pretty much fine. They've been letting me make my own decisions and given me a lot of freedom since I was very young. Sure we fight some times, but never about something major. I'm very sattisfied because I know other parents who are over controlling and strict, and I could never live like that.
