everyone was freaking out bc this is real meebo is shutting down the fanpop chat and everything so this is actually happening so before this is happen just get all of your friends phone number like i did and text them so u wont have to miss them but fanpop is giong shut down on october 4th. iam sorry.

I just read this on Meebo.com and it said that rooms were going to be discontinued as of from October 4th.Does this mean meebo.com entirely or rooms that you choose to create for yourself?

I kinda hope so, I HATE chatting.. that's why I always go offline chat....

Well. I don't really use Meebo for anything but posting random statuses about my life that no one really cares about but I need to get out and Facebook doesn't allow me to do that because people I talk about on Meebo I'm friends with on Facebook :)

look everyone, i know how you guys feel. but its not the end of the world, alright? who knows? fanpop might change their minds in the future, it could still be here after october 4th, it could not be here after october 4th. you may never know what might come to us during that time, but hey, its only august right now, so we still got until then, alright? but yes, im a little worried myself, but i kinda wouldn`t complain about it.
so, for you guys who are making a big panic about this, please calm down and relax. don`t waste your breath on this. even if it is discontinued, there are other chatrooms out there, like the ones on deviantART or chatting through emails such as yahoo or Gmail.
if it is still going by october 4th, then consider my answer history and move on, if it is not going after october 4th, then consider this answer... whatever you think, just, i consider it unknown until then.

If that's true, then I think that's total bull. There were a few connectivity problems, but I really liked Meebo chat. If there were anything to be discontinued, it should be the general chatroom on the fanpop homepage.
