Random Question

Phones not working!

None of my Grandma's phones have a ring tone and they just crackle. She has land line and wireless, does anyone know what's wrong? (P.S. I had a ring tone for about 2 minutes but it quit again, if I dial a number it pops sometimes and I get a ring tone)
