Anyone wants to explain me what Hetalia is?

It's an anime, right? Lately, it seems like it has more and more fans. Anyway, I'm feelin too lazy to look for info about it but I'm still curious to know what it's about...

Hetalia is a comedy anime based on WW1 and WW2. The countries are personified now, it has stereotypes that some people think is offensive but they make fun of everyone. Like america being obsessed with burgers, italy with pasta, england with tea ect. Its a really funny anime imo but its your choice to watch it or not.

Although, it's just bits and pieces. The rest is pretty much random awesomeness!
Note: Some people might consider it offensive, due to stereotypes (Korea was banned because of it TT_TT)
