Well don't guys find vamp girls attractive too? Anyway, I don't think it's about the fact that they're vamps or werewolves, it's more about who plays a vamp or a werewolf in a movie/tv show. If the guy isn't attractive, I won't like him even if he's a vamp or a werewolf...

yep but thats not because he's a werewolf, it's because he's Taylor Lautner and he got to show his abs... and btw I don't find Taylor Lautner attractive at all! ^^
Generally, vampires are hot because seduction is part of their characteristics... and werewolves are described as more manly and both characteristics are attractive...
I think its probably with the new Twilight movies that got 'em hooked???? IDK but im not really into that stuff more of the fantasy animals like Griffins, Dragons, Centaurs ETC.
In all honesty, it's probably because of Twilight fandom & it's popularity nowadays.
I can tell you now that I don't like Vampires(with an exception of a few Vampire characters) or Werewolves in literature, I prefer anime guys.
I like twilight,but I'm not some crazy obsessed fan that will be waiting in line for the breaking dawn dvd to be released at midnight on Friday. Some people go too far

I don't think the letter "u" chicks around. You shouldn't really assume something like that. I don't like that many vampires or wolves at all. I'm not into Twilight or vampire series like that. (Which is what I relate to it, no offense.)
I prefer shadowhunters. And fae. But mostly shadowhunters. Though there are a couple vampires I like... and one werewolf... for me it isn't really about what type of "creature" they are, it's more just that they're mythical. It's cool to think of something like that existing.
I honestly prefer anime characters over any vampire or werewolf.
Unless we're talking about Kaname Kuran here, who is simultaneously an anime character and a vampire (and hot //shot, then murdered by Zero fangirls)

Werewolves are fine because they're wolves. Again, I don't care too much about their looks, unless they look horrible.
This has always been a thing for people, it was just forced into the public eye with the recent Twilight/Vampire Diaries/True Blood phenomenons. I'm not exactly sure what started the phenomenon.
