If you could live forever...would you?

Ugh, of COURSE i wouldnt! People in my science class were saying "id LOVE to love live forever! Who wouldnt?" life has accomplishments. Once you are done your essential goals...why live on? It would get boring and life would repeat itself over and over again. Loved ones would die and pass on, while youre lonely in a prevential life. It would be an ABSOLUTE nightmare to live forever...too boring...too lonely.

But life wouldn't repeat it's self, new things would happen each and everyday, new discoveries and such

and once again, this is an opinion based question. and it could also be bias, noting this is just your perspective n the subject. and everyoen is different and have different points, and just because soemone would want to live forever doesn't make them any less superior than you

Yes.
I would have an eternity to improve my skills, to achieve things. I could do everything, everything! I could be good at everything... a master at everything! There'd be nothing that I couldn't do... I'd be... virtually perfect...
I would want that.

But after your perfection....what would you do? There is a certain point in which you have reached perfection....youll run out of things afterwards. The world could be strewn in war...

Yes and No.

yes, because it would be amazing to see where man goes, and what happens to them in the end. Also, then you could witness evolution first hand, and to see your genetics carry on and how much they changed from the original~ and see what happens earth, and the universe in general, and as 8thegreat said, you could perfect yourself~

But even them I wouldn't want to the live forever, mainly because forever is impossible, because time is relevant~

But no, because you'd age to the point of no mobility, and possibly no senses whatsoever~

so it has it's upsides, and it's downsides~

BlindBandit92 said:
If I could retain my youth.
If I could go into my favorite fictional universes
If I could give my family and friends immortality
It would be nice to see how far man goes
It would also be nice to hone everything I can do and know everything.

Then I guess it would be cool to be immortal.

But without those things. Immortality wouldn't necessarily be such a good thing. If by some chance because I am immortal my body shut down for whatever reason then what is the point of staying alive? My mind and body would be dead.

It would be saddening to see everyone I know die before me.

So due to various, various of reasons. Immortality is a double-edged sword. it can be good and yet it can be horrible.

So I think I might wanna live for a long time but I dunno about being immortal if I couldn't have most of the aforementioned things.

No, immortality is a curse, not a power or gift. It is tiring, living on forever, never being able to rest, watching the ones you care about pass on. If the world did go into chaos, and everything else was wiped out but you still had to live, even if you died from starvation, you'd still come back yet again to repeat that pain. It sounds like hell.
