Has anyone else heard about what happened in Istanbul today?

Apparently, police have attacked protesters with tear gas and water guns because there has been resistance towards a planned bulldozing of Taksim Square.

It has never bothered me much that we had to move to Turkey until now.
The government is planning to cut down the trees there and build a new mall, despite the fact that the city already has 100+ malls. Looking forward to move back to Princeton.

High pressure hoses, though frankly literal water guns might be just as scary as hoses if you've just been gassed. It's crazy.
