Do you think many people are becoming overly accepting of most everything?

It feels like everyone wants to remain neutral and please everyone all the time. It's like they think everyone is correct, just because they want to keep the peace.

"It's their choice." - Yes, but I don't have to agree with it.

"It's their opinion." - Yes, but I have an opinion of my own as well. So, in my opinion, I disagree with them.

"You should respect them." - No, not unless they give me reason to. I will be nice upon meeting them for the very first time, however, if they're going to treat me like shit, then they're going to get shit thrown back at them.

No, not really. It's not about keeping the peace, it's about being tolerant about other people's differences and realising that there is no right way of living - people do it differently and make different choices and it's okay.

And accepting that doesn't make you choices and opinions invalid. Your opinions and choices only become invalid when they are infringing on the choices and opinions of others.

People think I should respect old people just because their skin is sagging and they're psychically fragile.
