it's probably 50,000 to 100,000. I am using a similar method that ThePrincesTale used but the only different is I am estimating high because I don't think half of all fanpop users didn't join twilight. It's probably more like 20% that joined Twilight. Look at all of the anime users. It's pretty popular and one would be correct in noting that several anime users also like twilight but there's also many that are not fans of it. Same goes for the other big groups.

Yeah true, I might've overestimated how many joined the twilight spot. Anime, Harry Potter, etc all would've attracted users too.
There are over 20,000 fans of the Twilight spot alone (the most popular spot... lol a remnant of a bygone era in fanpop's history, I think).
If half of users never fanned the twlilight spot... there's over 40,000 in total. However, this could be an overestimate if a greater proportion of all users fanned that spot. Consider that Twilight was massive and many people probably joined fanpop because of it.
So I'd probably place the number of total users between 30,000 and 50,000.
Number of ACTIVE users... well that's different all together.
That is really inaccurate, some spots have more than 100,000 fans. But active members sure is a different matter entirely... To this day most of Fanpop is completely dead, I'd say there are less than 10,000 active fans now.
Omg I misread it completely xD Was going off this page linkTwilight spot has over 200k fans, not 20k, lel thanks. That's actually heaps, would never have thought there were that many...Was surprised even at the 20k. I'm guessing many user accounts were made as a once-off and then forgotten about.
