This makes it such that if someone lives in Wyoming, their vote carries 3.6 times more weight than a vote from California.
EDIT: did I really use "one" instead of "won"??? lmao I'm keeping this as a reminder to myself that I need to really get more sleep
Armed people are turning up at polling stations to "police" them, as he called on his supporters to do in debate #1 ("I want my supporters to go into the polls and watch very carefully", “I am urging them to do it"). Donald Trump Jr link, saying "The radical left are laying the groundwork to steal this election from my father, President Donald Trump … We cannot let that happen. We need every able-bodied man, woman to join army for Trump’s election security operation".
Thus far, link have reported intimidation at polling sites. Democratic voters in four states have received emails saying “you will vote for Trump on Election Day or we will come after you". The threat of political violence could make people anxious about going to the polls, weakening turnout. It also serves to undermine confidence in election in general.
Lol if any of this was happening in a Latin American country it would already be declared fraudulent because of intimidation.
EDIT And then there's the fact that there's about half as many polling stations as the last election, so some people are waiting more than FIVE hours in line just to vote. It's far more prevalent in poorer, and particularly in black, communities. Textbook voter suppression.
