Ok so I own Tangled on DVD and as I was watching it on DVD I was amazed by all the references I spotted in this movie. So I am going to talk about Beauty & the Beast and Tangled as both films are both classified as masterpieces and amazing animation as well as engaging charcthers so here is an insider on both movies. Enjoy



Beauty & the Beast characters

First up is Beauty & the Beast and this one is about Belle who is a shy bookworm maiden who falls for a guy who was transformed as a beast by an evil enchantress as he was selfish and unkind. When the two meet for the first time they hated each other’s guts as Beast was always acting like a spoilt brat with a very bad temper while Belle was really stubborn also. Eventually the two fall in love and they face a lot of obstacles particularly in the finale of the movie where the Beast gets stabbed to death by Gaston and he dies in Belle’s arms. The love scene in this movie is the ballroom scene and may I tell you I literally loved this scene its so romantic and cute you can’t help but fall in love with this scene. On to the death scene again and Beast tells Belle that at least he got to see her one last time and when he does die Belle says No No please please don’t leave me I love you and bang he turns back into a handsome good looking prince who looks like Michael Bolton for some strange reason (I think its got to do with the long hair).



TangledNow onto my favourite movie of 2011 Tangled. In this tale based on the Brother Grimns fairytale only Disney decided to give it a different makeover a young woman named Rapunzel is sick and tired being stuck in her tower for the last 18 years(unaware she is the long lost princess who was kidnapped by an evil woman named Mother Gothel as Rapunzel has enchanted hair that is 70 feet long and its blonde). Meanwhile a handsome rogue thief named Flynn Rider is a quick witted/devil may care young chap who stumbles across Rapunzel’s tower as he escapes from the guards. When he does climb Rapunzel’s tower she whacks him over the head with a (wait for it folks) A FRYING PAN LOL . The two are like Belle & the Beast they hated each other,they were both stubborn but eventually the two fall in love as they go on a boat to see the lanterns(which appear every year for Rapunzel’s birthday and it was her dream to see them and escape her tower for the first time). The climax scene in this movie is a dead ringer to BatB except Eugene (Flynn Rider that’s his real name btw Eugene Fitzherbert) chops Rapunzel’s famous locks off which turn brown(which is her natural hair colour that is Disney’s twist for this movie her hair being brown and NOT blonde)and he gets stabbed to death by Gothel . When his dying he tells her that she was his new dream and Rapunzel says that he was her’s too. When he dies she cries and her tears form a magic flower that goes straight into his body. He lives and the two get married and live happily ever after.


On both filmsBoth films are tremendous and very good. I love both Belle & Rapunzel as they remind me of myself stubborn and shy. Flynn Rider and the Beast are both good characters but I prefer Rider because his self centred(over his nose as the artists who make the most wanted posters never get his nose right and he flips out over it). The love stories between this films are brilliant and sweet your laughing your head off one minute and the next you get all emotional and start bawling like a kid over the princesses’ lovers deaths even though both of them live and marry their lovers in the end of the movies. The death scenes are very well done too but I prefer the one in Tangled Idk why but this one really got me emotional I was crying my eyes out when Eugene died and I thought he really did die as it took like 2 mins for him to wake up plus when Eugene said ‘You were my new dream’ and I saw Rapunzel breaking down in tears I started to cry.Here is a little question for you on both of these films what does this and Tangled both have in common? Well the answer folks is Alan Menken who does both scores for these movies and there is a few scenes in Tangled that are like BatB which I mentioned already but there is one where Rapunzel runs just like Belle and belts out a song.
