I skim read that, it wasn't that bad, better that Twilight by far, but not the greatest novel I've read.

Yeah, Vampire Diaries. But the first and only author who could really say SOMETHING about vampires is Ann Rice for me!!! Read The interview with a vampire)

I would recommend "Chronicles of Vladmir Tod", and I personally liked "The Silver Kiss." Here is a link to a vampire book list. Scroll down to "Young Adult." link

I would suggest one of my favorite series the Black Dagger Brotherhood series by J.R. Ward. There's currently 7 books, but all are great.

~Morganville Vampires by Rachel Caine (I think there is seven books so far.)

~ The Vampire Diaries: The Awakening and The Struggle by L. J. Smith (It's the first book to a series. I've only read the first but I can't wait to read the next. There is also a tv show based on the books now)

~And There is the Blue Bloods Series by Melissa De La Cruz (lol I don't like this series very much but it is a vampire series and you might enjoy it.)

Ok agree with all of these.
Vampire Diaries - L.J. Smith
Evernight - Claudia Gray
Vampire Academy _ Richelle Mead
Blue Bloods - Melissa De La Cruz
Vampire series - Anne Rice

But I would also suggest he Southern Vampire Novels by Charlaine Harris. Those are the one True Blood is based on. And House of Night Series by P.C. Cast and Kristen Cast.
I havent read The night world series but thanks for the reference
