Did you know that Scotty McCreery has been on his high school baseball team for the last three seasons? OK, he had to miss last season because of obligations to some American Idol television show he was doing.
But Scotty tells ABC News Radio that—after he gets off the Brad Paisley tour in March—he will return to the fighting Trojans of Garner Magnet High School in North Carolina for his senior season.
And they didn't just give him his spot back: Scotty had to try out.
"Singing don't really mean you can really play ball well. So, they had to see if I had a little something left in me," he said.
"I have a feeling, though, it's gonna be rough. I'm a pitcher, so I have a feeling when I get on the mound guys are gonna be taunting me and stuff. I'm just gonna blow it off and strike 'em out!"

The country singer, who topped the Billboard 200 list with the release of his album "Clear As Day", will be joined by the likes of Mary J. Blige, Cee Lo Green, Avril Lavigne, Rodney Atkins, and Cobra Starship.
Be sure to tune in to NBC on Thursday, November 24, at 9 AM EST to catch the annual parade.
The Garner, NC native will be joining in other holiday festivities this year as well! Scotty will be serving as the grand marshal at this year's Raleigh Christmas Parade on November 19th.
Scotty McCreery made Billboard's "21 Under 21: Music's Hottest Minors 2011"
No. 4. Scotty McCreery
Birthdate: Oct. 9, 1993 (age 17)
Why He's Hot: When viewers first saw Scotty McCreery at the Milwaukee auditions for "American Idol" season 10, they could barely believe the big ole voice coming out of the North Carolina teen. McCreery skated through the season not only on his baritone and Josh Turner covers, but also his fresh-faced charm and country drawl. Crowned "Idol" champ back in May 2010, McCreery signed to Mercury Nashville shortly and delivered his first smash single, "I Love You This Big," to radio shortly thereafter. McCreery's idol status is set to loom even larger when his anticipated debut album, "Clear as Day," is released on Oct. 4.
