Selena Kayleigh Gomez was born on July 22nd, 1992, in New York to her parent Rick and Mandy. She later moved to Grand Prairie, Texas, where she spent the rest of her childhood days.
When Selena was about seven, she decided she wanted to become an actress. Mandy took Selena to an audition against about 1,4000 kids. Selena soon appeared on Barney and Friends, where she met her BFF for life, Demi Lovato.
At the age of twelve, Selena traveled to Austin, Texas, for her Disney Channel casting call. Selena was soon on a plane to Los Angeles to audition for a Disney Channel show.

I think that this story is just awesome. It really rocks. For people who haven't seen this story and think that this is all barbie stuff because of the baby dvd just so you know it's not anything like it. It is awesome.
