Sesshomaru Question

What's the true nature of a Dog-Demon?

Does it annoy you that when Inuyasha turns into a demon he becomes a raging mindless beast that can (for some reason) only kill and destroy? When looking at Sesshomaru's continence do you honestly believe that the basic and instinctive nature of an Inuyoukai (Dog-Demon) is truly such a savage and vicious, evil creature, that couldn't be contained even without the need for an excessively strong will?

Personally, I think Sesshomaru would find this deeply ofensive, as if people could only assume his basic nature was that of an uncontrolable blood thirsty beast repressed by his strong spirit, he would take it as an insult against both himself and his father, which carry's the weight even more.

I think the reason why InuYasha acts like that whenever he turns into a full demon is because he is not used to being a full demon; the blood makes him unstable. I'm pretty sure that not all dog demons act like that, Sesshomaru being proof of that. It was said that InuYasha lost his mind also, so...

yah true enough, it is a pretti good reason for Sesshomaru to dispise Half-Demons, look at what they do for the reputation of Demons. It's terrible.

Being a fan of dogs in general and looking at their nature, i think that Inuyasha's actions were actually very dog like. Of course, they had a very demonic twist on them but it still was rather true. He only would get like that in self defense. A fight reaction in the fight or flight spectrum. Have you not seen a hurt dog cornered and in danger? It will fight to the death, seemingly mindlessly, to survive.

In addition, yes, perhaps the surge of demonic blood and power was too much for Inuyasha's humanity, driving him blood thristy and chaotic. Like a dog with rabies.

Sesshomaru actually refused to fight Inuyasha in that state and wanted to wake him up, his own... Sesshomaru way of being a fellow, caring dog demon. All in all, Inuyadha's actions were very dog like. And it isn't above them to become savage when needed.
