LadyNottingham I totally agree with you BlackHound. Kept thinking this since I've seen these gems on YouTube months ago. They could have kept the whole bits - what are 6:38 minutes more when you can add more intensity and beauty to the movie ? The In Noctem scene should have been kept. It added a deeper intensity to what was to come. Plus the song is just gorgeous. I sang it a capella at my mother's funerals (along with Amazing Grace). Alan's acting leaves me speechless. He can convey so many feelings even without uttering a single word. His face, his eyes are so expressive. If there was one single bit to keep, a few seconds, I would have kept these. Yes, looks like he's asking for forgiveness. "OMG, I'm going to kill the only person that still trusts me in the whole damn world !" Even if it is a mercy killing, Severus knows he's entering a dark tunnel with that single deed - a dark tunnel he won't see the end.
